Who is named on the packaging
The responsible person is the company named on the packaging and is accountable for the product on the market. For cosmetics, its duties are set by the Cosmetics Regulation: it notifies the product in the EU CPNP portal, keeps the product information file (PIF) for ten years after the last batch, is responsible for safety and communicates with the authorities. For cleaning products, it is responsible for classification and labelling under the CLP Regulation, the safety data sheet and the PCN notification. If you are the responsible person, we supply the documents: for cosmetics the PIF documents, the CPSR safety assessment by an external assessor and the notification package; for cleaning products the safety data sheet, UFI code and CLP label. If Handymade is the responsible person, every change of formula, tests or label goes through us.
Handymade
We are on the packaging and accountable for the product on the market. Only for packs that we fill, close and label ourselves.
For bulk, the responsible person is always your company. We cannot guarantee how the product is handled after filling at your site.
What you may want to know
How many pieces do I have to order?
In your inquiry, give the range of quantities you are considering, feel free to include several pack sizes. We will quote your exact quantity. And if production would not pay off at that volume, we will tell you straight away.
Can I try the product first?
Yes. Samples within 2 weeks of formulation approval. We go into production only when you are happy with the samples.
Will my formulation be safe?
We treat all documents as confidential. Formulations and labels are seen only by the Handymade development team.
I will be ordering repeatedly. Will the price change?
Repeat orders, we hold prices for an agreed period.
