I want to make cold process soap. What will I need?

What the app can do
Five tools the assistant uses on its own whenever a question is about raw materials, recipes or documents.
- Finds products
By name, ingredient, INCI or code. It shows pack sizes, the price incl. VAT in the shop's currency and whether the item is in stock, and sends a link to the product.
- Reads the product page
Exactly what is on the product page: description, INCI, CAS, origin, function in a formulation, recommended usage rate, processing temperature, solubility and certifications.
- Opens quality documents
The certificate of analysis (CoA) for a specific batch with measured values against the specification, the IFRA certificate with maximum use levels by product category, the allergen declaration and the technical data sheet.
- Searches recipes and guides
Our tested recipes, guides, ingredient encyclopedia and articles on cosmetics legislation.
- Builds a shopping list
It matches every ingredient in a recipe with a product you can buy from us.

How to connect
You only need to do this once. After that, just ask as usual in the conversation.
- Open connectors
In Claude on the web or in the desktop app, open Settings → Connectors.
- Add Handymade
Search the directory for Handymade and click Connect.
If you can't find it in the directory, choose Add custom connector and paste the address https://mcp.handymade.store/mcp.
- Ask away
Write your question as usual. When it is about raw materials, recipes or documents, Claude will ask Handymade. Once connected, the connector also works in the mobile app.
Coming soon — OpenAI is currently reviewing the Handymade app for ChatGPT.

The app only searches and reads. It doesn't change, order or pay for anything.
- No account, no sign-in
You don't need a Handymade account. We don't receive your name, e-mail or conversation history.
- You order on our website
Cart, order and payment always happen on the Handymade website. The price in your cart at the time of ordering applies.

The assistant reads prices and availability straight from the shop at the moment you ask.

Frequently asked questions
Is the app free?
Yes, the Handymade app costs nothing. Whether you can use apps and connectors on your plan is up to ChatGPT or Claude.
Which languages does it work in?
In whichever language you ask. The assistant answers in your language and quotes prices incl. VAT in the shop's currency.
Do I need a Handymade account?
No. The app works without signing in and without an account.
Can I order through the assistant?
No. The assistant finds products for you and sends links. You complete the order and payment on the Handymade website.
Are the answers always accurate?
The assistant takes its data straight from our shop, but phrases the answer itself. Before you start making anything, check usage rates and safety limits on the product page or in the certificate. You always get a link.
The assistant didn't use Handymade. What can I do?
Mention Handymade directly in your question, for example “Find in Handymade…”, and check that the app is switched on in the conversation.
