Description
High oleic sunflower oil for soap making Refined high oleic sunflower oil in a 10-litre container, intended primarily for cold process and hot process soap making. Compared to standard sunflower oil, it has a higher proportion of oleic acid, making it more stable against oxidation. In formulations it serves as an emollient, carrier and antioxidant . It is obtained by mechanical pressing of sunflower seeds (Helianthus annuus) followed by refining; the raw material is of European origin. The large pack is designed for producers who process oil in larger quantities: soap makers, small workshops and courses. What it is suitable for Cold process and hot process soap – a base oil in the formula, usually in combination with other fats and butters. Massage and body oils – a carrier oil for diluting macerates and fragrance or essential oils. Creams and balms – part of the oil phase in emulsions and anhydrous balms for body, hands and lips. Hair care – for oil treatments and wraps for dry hair and scalp. Use in formulation The oil is oil-soluble and water-insoluble , so it belongs to the oil phase. It is added to emulsions together with other oils and an emulsifier; in anhydrous products it is blended directly with other ingredients. The dosage range is wide, from 1% up to 100% depending on the product type: the pure oil is used as a massage or carrier oil, in creams it forms part of the oil phase, and in soap it is typically one of the main oils. During processing, it is recommended to keep the temperature below 80 °C . This range covers heating the oil phase during emulsion manufac
