Active lipo-extract of greater celandine

Active lipo-extract of greater celandine is a lipophilic plant extract from greater celandine (Chelidonium majus), obtained by extraction in sunflower oil. The plant, traditionally used in European herbalism, is employed in modern cosmetics for its potential to act on oily and problematic skin types. The extract is standardised to an 11,25 % content of celandine extract, stabilised with natural tocopherol (vitamin E) and compatible with certified organic cosmetic formulations. Greater celandine (Chelidonium majus) is one of the traditional European medicinal plants with a long history of use. In cosmetics it is applied above all in the care of oily, problematic skin with enlarged pores, and of warts. Extraction in sunflower oil gives the extract a lipophilic form, which ensures better penetration of the bioactive substances into the lipid layer of the skin. Natural tocopherol (vitamin E) acts as an antioxidant and stabiliser, extending the shelf life of the resulting extract and of the final formulation. The extract is GMO-free, has not been tested on animals and is produced in Europe.
