Sucrose Stearate (sucrose stearate) is a cosmetic raw material used as an O/W emulsifier (oil-in-water emulsions) and stabilizer in skin care and personal care products. It is produced by esterification of sucrose (table sugar) with stearic acid, a saturated fatty acid derived from plant sources. Sucrose Stearate helps to blend oil-based and water-based components, thereby improving the texture and stability of formulations such as creams, lotions and emulsions. It has excellent emollient properties , giving the skin a smooth and luxurious feel. Softens, smooths and hydrates the skin. When applied to the skin, sucrose stearate fills small spaces between cells and improves the skin texture . This is particularly beneficial for dry skin, where these spaces are usually larger than in other skin types. It is also suitable for products intended for sensitive skin.
