- Description
- Sucrose Stearate (sucrose stearate) is a cosmetic raw material used as an O/W emulsifier (oil-in-water emulsions) and stabilizer in skin care and personal care products. It is produced by esterification of sucrose (table sugar) with stearic acid, a saturated fatty acid derived from plant sources. Sucrose Stearate helps to blend oil-based and water-based components, thereby improving the texture and stability of formulations such as creams, lotions and emulsions. It has excellent emollient properties , giving the skin a smooth and luxurious feel. Softens, smooths and hydrates the skin. When applied to the skin, sucrose stearate fills small spaces between cells and improves the skin texture . This is particularly beneficial for dry skin, where these spaces are usually larger than in other skin types. It is also suitable for products intended for sensitive skin. In addition, this ingredient improves the spreadability and absorption of cosmetic products, ensures a pleasant application and contributes to the overall quality and efficacy of cosmetic formulations. It is an ideal emulsifier / co-emulsifier for body and facial care products, products intended to protect the skin after sun exposure, and products for children. The raw material is water-soluble and it is recommended to incorporate it into the water phase. It can also be incorporated into the oil phase of the product.
