Plastic bottle, clear round, 28/410, 1000 ml

A transparent round plastic bottle with a nominal volume of 1000 ml, designed for products used in larger quantities or used to refill smaller containers. The plastic is lightweight and will not shatter if dropped, making the bottle suitable for the bathroom, workshop, and transport. The transparent wall lets you see the colour of the contents and how much remains.

The most common fills are shampoos, shower gels, liquid soaps, conditioners, body lotions, micellar waters, and tonics. The container is suitable for contact with cosmetic products and for direct contact with food, so it can also be used for homemade syrups, oils, or herbal infusions.

What the bottle is suitable for

• Rinse-off cosmetics – shampoos, shower gels, and liquid soaps where a larger dose is used each time.
• Bulk and refill packaging – the litre volume is suitable for storing a finished product used to fill smaller bottles.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the quantity for which the bottle is designed under normal filling conditions. Total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference provides headspace for the closure, pump, or spray tube, and for expansion of the contents with changes in temperature.

Closure and dispensing

The 28/410 neck is a common standard, so the bottle can be combined with a variety of dispensing options depending on the consistency of the product. With a custom combination, we recommend verifying leak-tightness and the behaviour of the container with the specific formulation.

Good to know

Preparation before first filling: the bottle is washed, rinsed, and disinfected with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. It is then left to dry completely with the neck facing down, as residual water inside the container increases the microbiological load on the product.

Filling temperature: hot contents can deform the plastic wall. The product should therefore only be filled once it has cooled down.

Labelling: the round smooth body is suitable for self-adhesive labels. The dimensions needed for label design are listed in the product parameters. The label is applied to a dry, degreased surface.

Recycling: once the container has reached the end of its life, it is sorted as plastic.
