Candle making: complete equipment for home makers and workshops
The candle making category holds 245 items across seven subcategories — from waxes through wicks and colourants to containers, moulds and tools. The range covers the whole process: melting the wax, colouring it, adding fragrance, setting the wick and pouring into a container or mould. Every product comes with SDS and COA documentation, and pack sizes run from samples to wholesale quantities.
The strongest branches: wicks and waxes
The core of the category is candle wicks, with 110 items — the cotton WEDO EKO, Stabilo and LX series and wooden wicks from quiet to crackling Booster versions, including stands and holders — and candle waxes, with 77 items: soy KeraSoy, EcoSoya and NatureWax, plus rapeseed, coconut, palm, paraffin and gel waxes. The third largest branch is candle colourants, with 46 items of pigments in 10 g and 100 g packs, from white through the whole colour spectrum to black.
What do I need for which candle?
- Container candle (in glass): a container wax from the candle waxes category (77 items) — for example soy KeraSoy Container 4130, EcoSoya CB-Advanced or coconut EcoCoco — plus a suitable wick from the candle wicks range (110 items).
- Pillar (free-standing) candle: a harder pillar wax (KeraSoy Pillar 4120, EcoSoya pillar blend, palm BW C09) and a mould from the candle moulds category (1 item); further silicone moulds are in the silicone moulds category.
- Tealights: glass cups and a plastic mould in candle containers (4 items), paired with the cotton Stabilo wick designed for tealights.
- Wax melts: plastic moulds in the wax melt making category (2 items) and EcoSoya or Golden Wax 494 melt waxes.
- Coloured candles: candle colourants (46 items) in shades from white and pastels to deep wine red and black.
- Workshop equipment: candle making tools (6 items) — a wax melting jug, wick trimmers, centring tools and wick stickers.
From your first candle to a full run
The range is tiered so you can move from first experiments to series production with the same products. Buy wicks singly to test, then switch to packs of 100 once your recipe is dialled in — the WEDO Stabilo and LX series come in packs of 1,000 as well. Waxes run from 1 kg samples to 20–25 kg packs for larger workshops, and colourants come in 10 g packs for testing shades and 100 g for production. The recipe stays the same; only the pack size changes. Every product also comes with SDS and COA documentation, so the paperwork for your raw materials stays in one place from the first sample to a large batch.
From recipe to finished candle
Every combination of wax, fragrance and colourant burns differently, so it pays to make test pours and run a burn test: watch the flame height and the width of the melt pool after 2–3 hours. Dose colourant gradually from low concentrations (roughly 0.05–0.2% of wax weight), stir the fragrance into the melted wax and let candles cure for at least 48–72 hours before testing. Trim the wick to about 5 mm before every lighting.

Subcategory overview
6 subcategories · 245 productsFrequently asked questions
Which wax should I choose for a candle in glass?
Container waxes are made for jars and glasses — for example soy KeraSoy Container 4130, EcoSoya CB-Advanced or coconut Kerawax Coconut Container 4135. They adhere well to glass and give a smooth surface.
Cotton or wooden wick?
A cotton wick is versatile, quiet and precisely tunable through its range of sizes. A wooden wick brings a crackling effect and an elegant look, and suits wider containers and soy or blended waxes. Decide by container diameter, wax type and fragrance profile.
How much colourant should I add to the wax?
Start low, at roughly 0.05–0.2% of wax weight, and build the intensity in small steps. Sprinkle the colourant into fully melted wax, stir for 1–2 minutes and make a test pour before pouring the batch.
Why run a burn test for every new recipe?
The fragrance composition, its concentration and the colourant all change how the flame behaves. Test with the real dosage and colour, watch the melt pool after 2–3 hours and adjust the wick size or type based on the result.
