Product description
Dropper cap, black, plastic, 71 mm
A dropper cap is a closure with a glass tube and suction bulb for precise drop-by-drop dispensing. It suits any application where a small amount of liquid needs to be measured and applied in a controlled manner — serums, facial and body oils, tinctures, active concentrates, or diluted essential oil blends. Squeeze the bulb to draw the contents into the tube, then dispense drop by drop directly onto the skin or add to a formulation.
The glass tube is neutral to the contents and does not react with oil-based or alcohol-based ingredients. The bulb is silicone, the collar is black. The dropper has an 18/410 thread, fitting bottles and vials with the same neck finish.
Key features
- Drop-by-drop dispensing – suitable for concentrated products where precise quantity and consistent application matter.
- Glass tube – glass is inert to most cosmetic contents, does not leach into the formula, and tolerates oils and alcohol well.
- Silicone bulb – flexible, holds the drawn volume, and allows smooth, controlled release of drops.
- Black collar – opaque, gives the product a unified look; light protection for the contents is primarily provided by the bottle itself.
Suitable for products such as
The dropper is well suited to liquid and oil-based products with low to medium viscosity — serums, facial and hair oils, tinctures, hydrophilic oils, active concentrates dispensed by the drop, and essential oil blends prepared for dilution. It is not suitable for thick creams, gels, and emulsions, as the tube cannot draw them up; a pump or standard cap is a better fit for those.
Good to know
Before first use, wash and disinfect both the cap and the tube with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry thoroughly. Fill the bottle to the nominal volume, not to the brim — the dropper tube needs space in the neck so the contents are not pushed out when the cap is fitted.
The silicone bulb is sensitive to prolonged contact with undiluted essential oils and strong solvents, which can soften or deform it over time. For more aggressive formulations, we recommend testing the bulb's behaviour beforehand and cleaning the dropper between uses.
Ready-made bottle and dropper combinations are available in the Handymade range; when assembling your own combination, verify the seal and dispensing performance with your specific formulation. The packaging material is suitable for contact with cosmetic products.
