Yes, the flip-top cap is designed to allow convenient dispensing of thin as well as slightly thicker preparations, such as body lotions, shampoos or shower gels. However, for very thick creams or butters we recommend considering another type of packaging or dispenser, for example a pump, so that dispensing is smooth and user-friendly.
The packaging can be reused if hygienic principles are followed. Before each filling, the bottle and cap must be thoroughly cleaned and subsequently disinfected with a suitable alcohol, for example using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After rinsing and complete drying you can refill the packaging, while it is important to work in the cleanest environment possible.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it responsibly according to the material specified in the parameter table for the product. First remove any product residues, if necessary briefly rinse with water. Then sort the cap into the collection container intended for the given type of plastic so that the material can be further processed in the recycling process. Observing local sorting rules helps reduce the amount of waste and supports the reuse of raw materials.
The cap is constructed so that, after being correctly screwed onto a compatible bottle, it seals tightly and withstands normal transport and pressures during use. The flip-top mechanism is designed for repeated opening and closing, and it does not lose its functionality during normal handling. For thicker or foaming formulations we recommend performing a short test – fill a small volume of product, close, shake and check the tightness of the closure.
