Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 is a synthetic hexapeptide produced by solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS — solid-phase peptide synthesis). This technology enables precise assembly of the peptide chain from individual amino acids on a solid support, thereby guaranteeing a defined sequence and high product purity. After completion of the synthesis, N-terminal acetylation is carried out, which stabilises the molecule against enzymatic degradation and improves its percutaneous penetration. The peptide is a structural mimic of the N-terminal segment of the protein SNAP-25 (synaptosomal-associated protein 25) — a key component of the SNARE complex , which controls the release of acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction. By competitively binding to the SNAP-25 site, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 limits formation of the SNARE complex, reduces the intensity of muscular microcontractions and decreases the formation and deepening of dynamic expression lines .
