- Description
- Chia CO₂-to extract BIO is a pure plant oil extract obtained from the seeds of Salvia hispanica using supercritical carbon dioxide extraction. This process is carried out without the use of solvents and preserves all nutrients in their natural form. The extract is stabilized with a small amount of organic rosemary antioxidant (BIO) , which increases its shelf life and protects the fatty acids from oxidation. It has a yellowish to orange colour, a light texture and a delicate, naturally nutty aroma. It is a CO₂-to (total extract) – a complete extract that contains the full spectrum of lipid components, including polyunsaturated fatty acids, waxes and natural antioxidants. Type of extraction: Supercritical carbon dioxide extraction (CO₂) Designation: CO₂-to – total extract (complete extract with all lipid components) D/E ratio: 3.1–3.6 kg chia seeds per 1 kg extract Composition: 99.9% Chia CO2-to BIO extract, 0.1% Rosemary BIO CO2 extract If you want to learn more about the benefits and use of CO₂ extracts, read our article CO₂ extracts and their use .
