Essential oil of cabbage rose 100 % is a pure distillate from the flowers of the rose Rosa x centifolia , grown in North Africa. In perfumery it is known as Rose de Mai , the "May rose". It is sought after primarily for its scent: sweet, fresh, ethereal and warmly floral. In a formulation it serves as a natural fragrance component while also bringing the skin a soothing and toning effect. That is why it has a place in facial and body care as well as in natural perfumery. The oil is obtained by hydrodistillation from the flowers, without solvents and without dilution.
