Description
Rosemary CO₂-se-plus extract ORGANIC, ct cineole is a volatile selective extract from the leaves of Salvia rosmarinus (rosemary officinalis), obtained by supercritical carbon dioxide extraction with a small amount of organic ethanol. Thanks to fractional separation, it is a CO₂-se (selective extract) – a selective extract containing mainly volatile aromatic components similar to an essential oil. The extract has a clear yellow to light brown colour and a characteristic eucalyptus-woody, balsamic scent . It contains a high proportion of 1,8-cineole (min. 35 %) , together with camphor, verbenone, α-pinene and β-caryophyllene. In addition, it contains a small amount of antioxidant diterpenes (carnosic acid and carnosol) , which improve the stability of the extract. Type of extraction: Supercritical carbon dioxide extraction (CO₂) Designation: CO₂-se-plus – selective plus extract (selective extract containing volatile components and a small amount of heavier components ) D/E ratio: 38–53 kg of dried rosemary leaves per 1 kg of extract Composition : 100% Rosemary CO2-se-plus extract ORGANIC, ct cineole If you would like to learn more about the benefits and use of CO₂ extracts, read our article CO₂ extracts and their use .
