- Description
- Sea buckthorn fruit CO₂-to extract BIO is a nutrient-rich plant oil extract obtained from dried fruits of Hippophae rhamnoides by means of supercritical carbon dioxide extraction. This gentle process takes place without the use of chemical solvents and preserves the full spectrum of bioactive components – from unsaturated fatty acids to carotenoids, tocopherols and phytosterols. It has an orange-red colour, a delicate fruity aroma and an oily consistency. The extract is stabilised with an organic rosemary antioxidant , which protects its sensitive components from oxidation. It is a CO₂-to (total extract) – a complete extract that contains all lipid components of sea buckthorn, including fatty acids, waxes and natural antioxidants. Type of extraction: Supercritical carbon dioxide extraction (CO₂) Denomination: CO₂-to – total extract (complete extract with all lipid components) D/E ratio: 7 – 10 kg of dried sea buckthorn fruits per 1 kg of extract Composition: 99.9 % CO₂ extract from sea buckthorn fruits (BIO), 0.1 % rosemary antioxidant (BIO) Key benefits High content of essential fatty acids – contains palmitoleic acid (omega-7), linoleic acid and α-linolenic acid, which regenerate and strengthen the skin barrier.
