Benzoin resin

Benzoin resin , also called liquid benzoe or benzoe resin , is classified among essential oils. It is used very often as a fixative for volatile fragrances in cosmetics . It has a wonderful vanilla-like, slightly sweet scent. Apply it to the skin only diluted in a vegetable oil; it has antiseptic effects and also acts as a sedative, heals wounds and helps close scars. Liquid benzoe is obtained from a thick resin by dissolving it in alcohol. The strong, fresh, camphor-like scent of this oil ranks it among one of the most effective essential oils for all respiratory difficulties. It supports concentration and has a beneficial effect also in cases of migraines, purifies the air and helps wound healing. It is one of the basic scents in aromatherapy.
