PCA Glyceryl Oleate

PCA Glyceryl Oleate is a natural hair and skin conditioner made from vegetable glycerin, oleic acid and PCA (pyrrolidone carboxylic acid), which occurs naturally in the skin. Thanks to its specific molecular structure, it acquires a natural cationic charge at normal pH , which allows it to bind effectively to both hair and skin. The oleic acid in the molecule is identical to the lipids naturally occurring in the hair fiber , and therefore restores the protective layer that is lost through washing or exposure to UV radiation, oxidative stress or pollution. On the surface of the hair it forms a fine hydrophobic film , which improves combability, reduces frizz and provides the hair with a smooth, velvety feel – all without the use of silicones or quaternary ammonium compounds (quats) . The raw material is also approved for natural cosmetics.
