Sodium citrate is a naturally derived cosmetic raw material produced by fermenting natural sugars and subsequently neutralising citric acid. It is used as a buffering agent and chelating agent that helps keep pH stable and extend the shelf life of cosmetic products. Thanks to its high safety and mildness on the skin, it is suitable for sensitive skin as well and is widely used in natural and vegan cosmetics.
