Product description

A clear plastic jar with a capacity of 100 ml is a container for thick cosmetic products scooped with a finger or spatula. The wide neck makes filling and emptying easy, right down to the last amount. The transparent wall lets you see the contents without opening, which is useful for products with a strong colour or pearlescent effect.

The jar is of European origin and is made from PET. It is suitable for contact with cosmetic products and for direct contact with food.

What it is suitable for

The jar is intended for products that require direct access:

  • Creams and balms – thick emulsions, solid balms, deodorant pastes
  • Scrubs and masks – sugar or salt scrubs, clay masks, enzyme preparations
  • Hair products – conditioners, hair masks, hair pomades
  • Food – spices and herbs; the container is suitable for direct contact with food under normal conditions of use

Filling and volume

The nominal volume is the amount the jar is designed to hold under normal filling conditions. The total brim-full volume is larger; the difference serves as headspace for the lid. Fill the jar to the nominal level, not to the very rim.

The jar is compatible with lids of the same neck type. Ready-made jar and lid combinations are available in the Handymade range.

With dense contents (masks, clay, scrubs), wipe the neck rim dry before fitting the lid. The thread will stay clean and the lid will seat tightly.

Good to know

Before filling, wash the jar and allow it to dry completely. Label design dimensions can be found in the product specifications.

Do not expose the jar to aggressive chemicals. For formulations with a high content of alcohol, essential oils, or solvents, test compatibility with the material on a single piece beforehand.

Frequently asked questions

Is the 100 ml plastic jar suitable for both cosmetics and food?
Yes, the 100 ml plastic jar is suitable for contact with cosmetic products and for direct contact with food under normal and anticipated conditions of use. Suitability is confirmed by the declaration issued for the container by Handymade on the basis of technical documentation. In cosmetics it is suitable for creams, balms, masks, and scrubs; in the kitchen, for example, for spices and herbs.
Which lid fits the clear 100 ml plastic jar?
The clear 100 ml plastic jar takes a lid with the same neck type as the jar. The safest choice is a ready-made jar and lid combination from the Handymade range. If you are selecting a lid separately, compare the thread type in the specifications of both products and verify the seal on a single piece with your formulation before filling a full batch.
How much product actually fits in a 100 ml jar?
Under normal filling conditions, the jar holds 100 ml, which is its nominal volume. The total brim-full volume is larger, but this headspace is not intended for filling — the lid requires it when closing. Fill the jar to the nominal level so the contents do not reach the thread when closing.
Is the PET jar suitable for products containing alcohol or essential oils?
For products with a high content of alcohol, essential oils, or solvents, we recommend testing compatibility with the PET jar beforehand. Fill a single piece first and observe how the material behaves during prolonged contact with the formulation. Do not expose the container to aggressive chemicals at all. Standard creams, balms, masks, and scrubs are among the intended uses for which the jar is designed.
Does the 100 ml plastic jar comply with the Packaging Regulation (PPWR)?
Yes, the 100 ml plastic jar is in conformity with Regulation (EU) 2025/40 on packaging and packaging waste. Conformity is confirmed by the EU Declaration of Conformity issued for the container by Handymade. The jar meets the limit for PFAS as well as the limit for the sum of heavy metals (lead, cadmium, mercury, and hexavalent chromium). It is classified as sales packaging.
