The jar can be reused for cosmetic and technical use, provided that basic hygiene rules are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, such as isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfecting packaging, you can use the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After cleaning and drying, we recommend carrying out a trial filling before the final filling to verify the behaviour of the specific formulation in contact with the packaging.

The jar is particularly practical for thicker and semi-solid cosmetic formulations such as creams, butters, balms, scrubs, clay and gel masks or hair styling products. Thanks to its transparent design, it is also suitable for visually attractive products where you want to emphasise the colour, texture or layering. It is also useful for dosing small amounts of blends when testing new formulations or when preparing sample sets for customers.

Before the next filling, it is important to remove all residues of the original product, wash the packaging with a suitable cleaning agent and rinse thoroughly. After mechanical cleaning, the jar must be disinfected with an alcohol solution – we recommend using either isopropyl alcohol or ethanol of plant origin. Allow the disinfectant to act on the surface, then let the packaging dry completely at room temperature. Only then refill the jar, ideally in the cleanest possible working environment, in order to minimise the microbial load of the new product.

If you decide not to continue using the jar, we recommend, after emptying and basic cleaning, placing it in sorted waste according to the material designation given in the product parameters on the website. The information on the material and the relevant recycling symbol will tell you which container the packaging belongs in. In general, clean plastic packaging should go to plastic collection, while heavily soiled packaging should be cleaned or, in extreme cases, put into mixed waste. Before disposal, it is advisable to remove any product residues to facilitate the recycling process and reduce the risk of contamination of other packaging in the collection.
