BISABOLOL ALPHA NATURAL

The main active ingredient you will find in the soothing body oil is Bisabolol Alpha Natural.
It is an oily raw material extracted from the Candeia tree. It has anti-inflammatory and healing properties, which is the main reason why it was chosen for the soothing body oil. In addition, it is characterized by antimicrobial
and healing properties, it is also suitable for sensitive skin.

rOSEHIP SEED OIL

This soothing body oil acquires its beautiful golden orange colour thanks to the use of rosehip seed oil
from the seeds. This oil is valued for its high content of antioxidants and fatty acids. It is suitable for dry
and irritated skin. In addition, it has a firming effect, which is why it is used in addition to body oils
in skin serums.

ARGAN OIL

This luxurious oil has a long tradition of use in cosmetics. It is extracted from the kernels of the argan tree.
It was chosen for its soothing body oil because of its high content of vitamins such as vitamin E, A and others,
and also for its mineral content. Argan oil is also sought after because it helps improve skin elasticity and the condition of stretch marks. Deodorized argan oil is deodorized, so the essential oil used in the body oil can stand out better.

ALKYL BENZOATE C12-15

Alkyl Benzoate is an oily liquid that is used as a partial replacement for oils in products,
because it reduces the final greasy feeling. The resulting soothing body oil is thus lighter and better absorbed by the skin. It is a blend of esters and longer chain alcohols. Alkyl benzoate has an emollient
and antimicrobial properties.

CALENDULA MACERATE

The maceration of calendula in sunflower oil produces calendula macerate, which contains valuable substances extracted from this plant. In the form of an oil, calendula macerate is easy to work with and helps heal minor wounds and burns. It is therefore also suitable for chapped and irritated skin. In addition, it has antimicrobial and regenerative properties, which you will appreciate if you apply the soothing body oil on your skin after shaving.

ALMOND OIL

Almond oil is used as a basic neutral oil in all kinds of cosmetics. It combines very well with other oils and is rich in vitamins E and A, which have antioxidant properties, which is why it was chosen for the soothing body oil. It is very quickly absorbed by the skin, which is why it is also used for massages, while helping to regenerate the skin.

TOKOFEROL

Tocopherol or otherwise vitamin E is a natural antioxidant that is also a common ingredient in oils.
However, its addition to oil products prolongs the freshness of oils and delays their oxidation.
This is also why it is contained in soothing body oils. Its antioxidant properties are manifested in the fight against free radicals, which are also produced by UV rays. It helps to heal irritated skin and soothe scar conditions.

LAVENDER ESSENTIAL OIL

Lavender has been known for centuries for its soothing effects, making it a suitable complement for a calming body oil. In addition, the pleasant scent of lavender essential oil is a substitute for perfuming the product, furthermore, lavender helps to relax and unwind, so it is advisable to apply a soothing body oil containing it in the evening.

SOOTHING BODY OIL AND ITS VARIATIONS

If you do not have all the ingredients mentioned above on hand or wish to vary some of the ingredients,
there is quite a wide range of ingredients to choose from. Apart from Bisabolol Alpha Natural, which is the active ingredient for the Soothing Body Oil, the other ingredients are interchangeable. On the following lines, we will describe more about which ingredients can be interchanged or omitted.

VEGETABLE OILS

In addition to rosehip or argan oil, you can also reach for other types of vegetable oils.
The choice in this area is truly vast and the imagination is endless. You can choose vegetable oils,
you can choose the oils that best suit your skin, but you can also play around with their ratios.

MACERATES

In addition to calendula macerate, there are other plant macerates in oils available on the market.
These include carrot macerate, which is known for its high beta-carotene and vitamin content.
It has a distinctive red-orange colour, so use it in lower doses as it can stain the skin
or clothing.

ESSENTIAL OILS

You don't have to limit yourself to lavender essential oil. There is a wide variety of other essential oils to choose from. However, if even this palette is not enough for you, you can also experiment with fragrance oils that bring different fruity or floral scents. However, it is important to follow the recommended dosage, otherwise skin irritation may occur. If you don't like perfumed products, you can skip the essential oil altogether.

VITAMIN E - TOCOPHEROL

Vitamin E is a great ingredient to extend the life of oils, but it is not a necessary ingredient for a soothing body oil. Omitting vitamin E will partially reduce the time the oils are fresh (i.e. it is therefore advisable to make the soothing body oil in smaller batches and consume it within a few weeks.

SOOTHING BODY OIL AND ITS STORAGE AND PACKAGING

When choosing suitable packaging for soothing body oil , reach for dark containers. Glass that is easy to clean is ideal. You can reach for containers with a dropper or plain bottles. Alternatively, look for bottles with a pump. Make sure the glass is coloured, i.e. brown, green etc. to minimise exposure to UV light which promotes oxidation of the oils. Also, it is advisable to store the soothing body oil away from light and heat.

NOTICE

As mentioned, you can experiment with homemade recipes to achieve desired properties. However, many factors such as humidity, temperature, quality of ingredients and storage can affect the final result.

Before using any raw material to make a cosmetic product, familiarize yourself with its properties, recommended dosage, storage conditions or safe handling.
