The white screw cap 28/410 is a simple closure made from polypropylene (PP), used to seal bottles with a 28/410 neck finish. It is designed for standard filling where the contents do not require dispensing through a pump or spray. Simply close the bottle securely, store it, and reopen as needed. The white colour appears neutral and pairs well with clear, white, and amber bottles.

Suitable for sealing toners, hydrolats, vegetable oils, liquid soaps, shampoos, shower gels and massage oils that are poured directly from the bottle. It also works as a transport or storage cap for bottles that will later be fitted with a pump or spray. For shipping and long-term storage, a solid cap is more reliable than a dispenser. The closure is suitable for contact with cosmetics and also carries certification for direct food contact.

How to use it

Screw the cap onto the bottle neck and tighten by hand. There is no need to use force — overtightening is more likely to damage the plastic thread than to improve the seal. The seal depends on the cap seating accurately against the top surface of the neck, so it is worth verifying compatibility with the specific bottle before filling a larger batch.

Good to know

Preparation before first use. Before filling cosmetics, we recommend rinsing the caps, disinfecting them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, and allowing them to dry completely. Residual water or alcohol in the thread would transfer to the product.

Repeated use. The cap can be reused as long as the thread and seating surface are undamaged. After each use, wash and disinfect it. For products containing oils, it is advisable to degrease it first with warm water and detergent.

Material behaviour. Polypropylene is resistant to water, alcohol, vegetable oils, and most surfactants and emulsions. With concentrated essential oils, fragrance compositions, or solvents, we recommend verifying compatibility with the specific formulation. Prolonged contact with certain ingredients may soften or discolour the plastic.

Labelling and storage. The cap is not typically labelled. If you need to mark a batch, it is convenient to stick a small label on the top surface. Store closures in a dry, clean environment, preferably in a sealed container, to keep dust out of the thread.

Recycling. The polypropylene closure is recyclable as plastic. Before disposal, simply empty it and unscrew it from the bottle.
