The glass vial represents a professional and reliable packaging solution intended for filling various liquid and powder preparations, especially in the field of cosmetics, pharmaceutical inspirations and homemade blends. Thanks to high-quality glass, the bottle is stable, resistant to normal use and suitable for the safe storage of sensitive formulations. The smooth inner surface of the glass minimizes interaction with the contents, which is important for products containing active ingredients, perfumes or oils. This type of packaging is appreciated by manufacturers of natural cosmetics, tinctures, serums and homemade solutions who are looking for a hygienic, visually clean and easily labelable solution for filling and selling their products.
Glass vials are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected when ordering. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – checking the seal, the uniformity of dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (especially for products containing alcohol, essential oils or acids). In this way you will ensure the stability of the formula and the reliable use of the packaging under real conditions.

The glass vial is suitable for most common homemade and semi-professional cosmetic formulations, such as facial waters, oils, tonics or hair treatments. Before filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the packaging and, if necessary, also disinfecting it, in order to minimize the risk of microbial contamination and extend the shelf life of the product.
The packaging can be reused if hygienic principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to wash the bottle thoroughly, remove residues of the original contents and then disinfect it, ideally using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example with the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. Only after it has completely dried is the bottle ready for refilling, which reduces the risk of impairment of the new formulation.
When filling your own formulations, we recommend clearly labelling each bottle with a label stating the product name, composition and date of manufacture. Always store the glass vial with the closure tightly closed, in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight and significant temperature fluctuations. This will support the stability of the active ingredients and the preservation of the sensory properties of the product throughout its use.
If you decide not to use the packaging anymore, empty its contents and, in accordance with local waste management rules, place it in the appropriate container for sorted waste, according to the material stated in the product parameters. In most sorting systems, glass packaging is placed in the container intended for glass; it is advisable to remove product residues and, where possible, also the labels. In this way you will support efficient material recycling and the reduction of municipal waste.
