Product description
Transparent plastic jar with lid represents a practical and clear solution for packaging smaller quantities of products where quick visual inspection of the contents is important. Thanks to the transparent plastic material, it is suitable for various types of cosmetic and technical mixtures, gels or loose products for which you need to have a good overview of the colour and structure. The sealing lid helps protect the contents from contamination from the external environment and limits unwanted drying out or moistening of the filling.
Possible uses
- packaging of thicker cosmetics – lip balms, ointments, hand creams, body butters or local preparations for the skin
- storage of smaller quantities of gel and powder products – peelings, clay mixtures, powder masks or pigments
- practical cosmetic samples – test portions of creams, serums and balms for customers or for travelling
- storage of small raw materials and additives – glitter, microspheres, small decorative elements, loose mixtures for soaps and cosmetics
- technical and hobby use – small components, beads, small amounts of adhesives or mixed preparations when creating DIY projects
Packaging advantages
- Stable plastic material ensures good resistance during normal use, handling and transport, while the jar retains its shape and functionality.
- Protection of contents from impurities thanks to the corresponding lid, which helps limit the access of dust, moisture and contact contamination.
- Transparent jar walls allow quick visual inspection of the product’s colour, consistency and quantity without having to open the packaging.
- Universal use – the jar is suitable for cosmetic workshops, small brands and hobby makers for repackaging, testing of formulations and creating samples.
- Low weight makes transport and storage easier, which is advantageous for parcels with larger quantities of packaging material or finished products.
Combining with closures and dispensers
The jar is supplied including the corresponding lid, so it forms a finished, ready-made combination of packaging and closure. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation) to make sure that the packaging works reliably in the long term with your specific product.Technical parameters
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.FAQ – Most frequent questions
The jar can be reused under normal use and gentle handling, but it is recommended to follow basic hygiene principles. Before each new filling, the jar and lid must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. This reduces the risk of microbial deterioration of the contents and prolongs the stability of your products.
First mechanically remove the residues of the original product, then wash the jar in lukewarm water with a mild cleaning agent suitable for plastic. After rinsing with clean water, let the packaging dry and disinfect it with alcohol before the next filling, for example using IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Washing in extremely hot water or with aggressive cleaning agents is not recommended in order to avoid reducing the service life of the plastic.
If you do not plan to reuse the jar, it is recommended to recycle it according to the type of plastic specified in the product parameters. Before placing it in sorted waste, remove any remaining contents and empty the packaging as much as possible. Then put it into the appropriate container for separate collection according to the material marking (for example plastic packaging). By following local sorting rules, you contribute to more efficient processing and to reducing the amount of waste.
When filling thicker creams, ointments or balms, we recommend working at a slightly reduced viscosity of the product (for example at room temperature), so that the filling can be easily and evenly spread into the jar. Make sure that the packaging is clean and disinfected and that you do not damage the sealing surface on which the lid rests. After filling, close the jar and let the product stabilise at the recommended storage temperature according to the nature of your formulation.
When choosing suitable packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter, which you can find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant category (for example bottles, jars or dispensers). In the advanced filter, you can specifically select packaging according to parameters such as neck type, size, colour and material. Thanks to this, you can easily find packaging that will match your formulation, brand design and practical requirements for use.
