Spray bottles are primarily intended for less viscous liquids, such as toners, aqueous solutions, hydrolats or light sprays. With thicker emulsions and oil blends, the tube or nozzle may become clogged and dispensing may deteriorate. Before practical use we always recommend carrying out a trial filling and testing the behaviour of the bottle during longer-term use.

The packaging can be reused if basic hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the internal parts of the sprayer must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example with isopropyl alcohol or plant ethanol. Allow the disinfectant solution to act for a short time, then rinse with drinking water and allow to dry completely. In case of any damage to the packaging or signs of wear of the sprayer mechanism, we recommend excluding the bottle from repeated use.

First rinse the bottle with the product residues and lukewarm water with the addition of a mild cleaning agent. Then rinse thoroughly with drinking water so that no detergent residues remain. Afterwards disinfect the packaging – we recommend using an alcohol-based solution, for example IPA 99 % or 96 % denatured ethanol. Allow the solution to act, spray it through the inside of the sprayer as well, then allow all parts to dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid boiling and washing in the dishwasher to prevent damage to the plastic material or the sprayer seals.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it responsibly according to the type of plastic stated in the product parameters and on the packaging. Before disposal, empty the remaining contents as much as possible, rinse the bottle and separate the mechanical part of the sprayer from the body of the container. Place the bottle itself in the appropriate plastic container according to local recycling rules, and separate the sprayer and small parts according to the instructions of your collection system.
