Product properties
Key ingredients in the recipe
Below we go through the individual ingredients of the recipe and what they bring to the finished butter — from the nourishing base of butter and oils to the scent that is added right at the end.
Mango butter
Mango butter is full of natural antioxidants and vitamins which revitalise and soften the skin. It absorbs easily into the skin and does not leave it greasy. It also helps in the fight against dry skin, helps to treat rashes, eczema and dermatitis. It makes up the largest share of the recipe — 30 g.
Coconut oil, virgin
Coconut oil has a high content of lauric acid, has antibacterial effects, is suitable for drier or sensitive skin and also for problems with cracked skin or eczema. It is present in the recipe at 15 g and is melted together with the mango butter.
Hemp oil
Hemp oil is rich in omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids and is a source of vitamin E. It helps prevent moisture loss and is also effective in the fight against wrinkles. We add 15 g of it to the recipe.
Other ingredients
Vitamin E, liquid is present in the recipe at 0.3 g. It is added only after the mixture has been whipped, together with the essential oil, and the butter is then whipped once more.
Essential oil, geranium gives the butter its scent — we use 10 drops in the recipe. However, you can choose any of your favourite scents from our range of essential oils.
Formulation (60.3 g)
The ingredient amounts are given in grams exactly as the author prepared the recipe — they correspond to one batch of 60.3 g of butter, that is a portion for a glass jar with a volume of 130 ml. The ingredients are divided into two phases: A — the butter and oils, which are melted together, and B — vitamin E and the essential oil, which are added to the whipped mixture.

| Phase A | |
| Mango butter | 30.00 g |
| Coconut oil, virgin | 15.00 g |
| Hemp oil | 15.00 g |
| Phase B | |
| Vitamin E, liquid | 0.30 g |

How to make it
- Disinfection
Disinfect all the tools and containers you will be using — with 99% (or at least 80%) alcohol, or boil them in water.
- Weighing and melting Phase A
Weigh out the oils and the butter and melt them in the microwave or in a water bath.
- Setting in the fridge Phase A
Put the oils mixed in this way into the fridge to set. Test the consistency with your finger: if the oils are already too solid, whipping will be very difficult; on the other hand, if your finger sinks into runny oils, they are not sufficiently set yet and the butter will not whip properly.
- Whipping 5 – 10 min
Whip the mixture of oils and butter with a mixer for about 5 – 10 minutes. The consistency must be fluffy and firm — the volume will double.
- Vitamin E and scent Phase B
Add the vitamin E and the essential oil and whip once more.
- Filling
Fill the finished butter into the jar and you are done.

Use and storage
For better absorption, apply the butter to damp skin.
Whipped butter starts to melt at a temperature above 24 °C — at that point it needs to be stored in the fridge.
