Plastic bottle, clear round shape, black foam pump dispenser, 750 ml is a ready-made set for filling products intended to be dispensed as thick foam. The lever dispenser with foam pump mixes the liquid contents with air directly in the head, so foam is produced without propellant gas and without any special formulation modification. A sufficiently thin, foaming formulation is all that is needed. The 750 ml volume is intended for products that are consumed quickly and in larger amounts: foam hand soaps, shower and bath foams, foam shampoos for people and animals, cleansing foams for skin, and outside of cosmetics also foam cleaners for the home or workshop.

The round shape is comfortable to hold and stands well on a washbasin or shelf. The set as a whole is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics. The bottle has a separate food-contact certification; the foam pump dispenser does not. The set as a whole is therefore intended for cosmetic and technical use, not for filling food products.

How the set works and how to fill it

The foam pump dispenser has a mixing chamber in the head where the drawn-in liquid combines with air and is forced through a mesh screen. This produces a fine, stable foam. The prerequisite is a thin, foaming content based on surfactants. A thick gel, cream or oil cannot be drawn in by the head, or will only produce a spraying liquid without foam.

Fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim. The nominal volume is the quantity the container is intended for under normal filling conditions. The total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between them is the allowance for the dip tube and dispenser head, and for safe closure without overflow. When first assembling, it is advisable to cut the dip tube at an angle so that it ends just above the bottom of the bottle. This allows it to draw in the contents right to the end and prevents it from bending.

Suitable for products such as

• Foam hand soap – the most common use; gentle surfactants diluted with water, foam spreads easily and rinses off quickly.
• Shower and bath foam – the 750 ml volume is practical for a family bathroom; foam is applied directly to the body or a wash mitt.

Good to know

Before first use, rinse both the container and the head with clean water, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. The foam pump mesh retains impurities, so the contents must be free of undissolved particles. Solid components such as fine exfoliating particles or dried herbs will clog the head.

The set is intended for repeated use. When changing the contents, rinse the head and dip tube with warm water and pump clean water through several times so that no surfactant residue remains in the chamber.

The plastic is not suitable for contents with a high proportion of essential oils or strong solvents that may soften or cloud it over time. With typical foam products containing a low proportion of fragrance components, this is not an issue. For concentrated formulations, we recommend testing the container's behaviour on a single unit.

The bottle has a neck with the thread type indicated in the specifications. If the foam pump does not suit you, closures with the same thread type and ready-made combinations are available in the Handymade range. When assembling your own combination, we recommend verifying the seal, dispensing behaviour and container performance with your specific formulation. Label dimensions are given in the bottle specifications. A narrower label wrapping around the circumference suits the round shape better than a wide flat panel.

The bottle and dispenser are made of plastic and, once thoroughly emptied and rinsed, belong in the sorted waste stream for plastics.
