Product description

Cosmetic wooden spatula straight (50 pcs) is a practical single-use tool for hygienic scooping of creamy, gel-based or powder products from jars, pots and other containers. It helps minimize contact of fingers with the contents, thereby contributing to the reduction of contamination risk and to extending the stability of your formulations. Thanks to its smooth surface and pleasant stiffness, it is suitable for precise dosing as well as comfortable application of products in both home and professional cosmetic manufacture.

Possible uses

  • scooping facial and body creams from jars and pots
  • application of masks, peels and balms during facial treatments
  • hygienic dosing of ointments, lubricants and special care in medicine bottles and jars
  • taking test samples from larger containers during formula development
  • working with powder blends (clays, powder masks, peeling blends) when scooping them from the packaging
  • stirring a smaller amount of cosmetic ingredients directly in a small container or jar
  • a practical aid when portioning products into travel-size packs, vials and mini jars

Packaging advantages

  • Material stability – the wooden spatula is firm, does not break during normal use and enables precise scooping even of thicker creams and balms.
  • Protection of contents – by separating direct contact of fingers from the contents of the pot or jar, it helps limit transfer of impurities and microorganisms into the product.
  • Hygienic use – the single-use character of the spatulas is particularly suitable for professional services and shared products where cleanliness is a priority.
  • Universal use – suitable for various types of cosmetic forms (creams, gels, balms, masks, peels, powder blends) and different packaging types such as jars, pots or smaller containers.
  • Practical multi-piece pack – the pack contains several spatulas, which facilitates continuous replacement during production as well as product application.

Combining with closures and dispensers

The cosmetic spatula combines excellently with various types of cosmetic packaging such as jars, pots, bottles and small containers, which you can find in the respective categories. The spatula makes hygienic scooping of the product easier wherever no dispenser or pump is used, and at the same time helps to take the contents precisely from packaging with a wider neck.

Combinations of containers and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always carrying out your own compatibility test (tightness, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the particular formulation).

Technical parameters

All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.

FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Is it possible to use the cosmetic wooden spatulas repeatedly?

From a hygiene perspective, cosmetic wooden spatulas are recommended for use as single-use tools, especially for professional treatments or where products are shared by several persons. In a home environment, the spatula can be used repeatedly only if it is intended exclusively for one person and is thoroughly cleaned and dried after use. For all containers that you plan to refill with product repeatedly, it is necessary before filling to clean and disinfect the container and any dosing tools, for example using products such as IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based, always in line with the recommended procedure and safety instructions.

For which types of products are wooden spatulas most suitable?

Wooden cosmetic spatulas are suitable for scooping and applying thicker and semi-liquid products such as facial and body creams, ointment bases, lip balms, body balms, creamy and gel masks, peels or clay blends. You will use them wherever you want to minimize contact of fingers with the contents of the jar or pot and maintain the highest possible level of hygiene when working with cosmetic products.

How should wooden spatulas be stored correctly so that they remain hygienic?

Store wooden spatulas in a dry place, at room temperature and protected from direct moisture and dust, ideally in a closed container or in the original packaging. Before use, always take a clean spatula with dry hands or using tweezers to minimize transfer of impurities. Do not use spatulas that are visibly damaged, damp or soiled, as they could adversely affect hygiene when handling the product.

You offer many types of packaging – how can I find the right one for my product?

To select a suitable container, you can use the advanced filter located at the top of the page after clicking on a specific packaging category. Thanks to the filter, you can easily narrow down the range according to parameters such as neck type, packaging size, colour or material. In this way you will quickly find bottles, medicine bottles, jars, pots or another container that will best match your product’s properties and the required dosing method.

How can I ensure the highest possible hygiene when scooping product from jars and pots?

When working with products in jars and pots, we recommend avoiding direct scooping with fingers and instead using a clean cosmetic spatula. Before the first filling of the container, it is advisable to clean and disinfect the container itself and the accessories with a suitable product, for example isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol. For each new scooping, use a clean or new spatula and prevent the spatula from coming into contact with non-sterile surfaces in order to minimize the risk of contamination of the container contents.

How can I use or dispose of the spatulas when I no longer need them?

If spatulas remain unused from production, you can use them in subsequent work with cosmetics or when dosing raw materials into smaller containers and travel packs. Used spatulas should be disposed of in line with local regulations on municipal waste, especially if they have come into contact with fatty or highly pigmented products. Always follow the recommendations for handling packaging material given with the specific product on the website and adapt disposal to the local system of waste collection and sorting.
