The glass jar with aluminium lid represents a professional solution for packaging creamy, gel-based and more solid cosmetic formulations, where protection of the contents and the aesthetic appearance of the packaging are important. The dark glass helps to reduce light exposure to the product, which helps protect sensitive components from degradation during storage. Can this glass jar be used repeatedly?
Yes, the jar can be used repeatedly with proper handling and adherence to hygiene principles. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected, for example using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. In this way you reduce the risk of microbial contamination and maintain the quality of your product.
How should I correctly clean the glass jar and the aluminium lid before further use?
We recommend first mechanically removing any product residues from the jar, then washing it in warm water with a suitable detergent and rinsing thoroughly. After drying, it is advisable to disinfect the packaging with an alcohol-based product, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Clean the aluminium lid gently, without aggressive abrasives, to avoid damaging the surface or the seal.
How can I safely recycle this packaging if I do not want to reuse it?
If you decide not to use the jar any further, we recommend cleaning it of any remaining contents and sorting it by materials. Place the glass container in the bin intended for glass and the aluminium lid in the collection for metal packaging, in accordance with the sorting rules applicable in your municipality. When recycling, also follow the material information given in the product parameters on the website, so that the packaging is assigned to the correct collection stream.
Is this jar also suitable for travelling or carrying products in a handbag?
The glass jar with aluminium closure is also suitable for carrying a smaller amount of cosmetics, for example when travelling or in a handbag. Before using it for transport, we recommend carrying out your own leak test with the specific formulation, not overfilling the packaging and placing it in an upright position during transport. From a safety point of view, it is also advisable to avoid strong impacts and drops, since it is a glass material.
