Is this glass medicine bottle suitable for thicker or oily products?
The glass bottle is suitable primarily for liquid or slightly viscous preparations, such as toners, light serums or thin oily blends. For thicker formulations we recommend choosing a suitable type of closure or dispenser (for example a dropper or an applicator) within the available accessories and always verifying smooth dosing with a test batch.
Can I use this small bottle repeatedly?
The packaging can be used repeatedly if basic hygiene rules are observed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to thoroughly clean and disinfect the bottle and the closure, ideally using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only then do we recommend refilling the packaging in order to minimize the risk of microbial contamination and deterioration of the contents.
How to properly clean the glass medicine bottle before further use?
Before repeated use, first rinse the bottle with warm water with a suitable cleaning agent to remove residues of the original product. Then rinse the packaging with clean water and let it drain thoroughly. Before refilling, we recommend disinfecting the inner surface with alcohol (ALK001 / ALK002), that is for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, and after the alcohol has evaporated, use the bottle for new filling.
How to safely dispose of and recycle this packaging if I do not want to use it repeatedly?
If you decide not to use the packaging repeatedly, we recommend recycling it according to the material composition listed in the product parameters. The glass bottle can usually be placed in sorted glass collection after removing product residues and any labels. The metal closure should be sorted according to local rules for metal packaging or small metal waste. Always follow the recommendations of your municipality or collection company to make recycling as effective as possible.

We recommend always testing the combination on a small test batch – checking tightness during transport, dosing behavior and any impact on the consistency or stability of the product in contact with the closure material. All combinations offered directly on Handymade are tested, but for your own combinations your own compatibility test is essential.
