The glass dropper bottle type M 10 ml is a small container made of amber glass for products that require light protection and drop-by-drop dispensing. Amber glass reduces light penetration, making it particularly suitable for essential oils, fragrance compositions, facial serums, oil concentrates, tinctures, and samples stored or shipped in small quantities. Glass does not react with its contents, does not absorb odours, and tolerates both alcohol and essential oils — a significant advantage over plastic. Dropper bottle refers to the shape of the container, not its intended use.

Suitable applications for the dropper bottle

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the quantity for which the container is designed under normal filling conditions. Total volume to the brim is the physical volume of the bottle up to the neck and is higher. The difference provides a reserve for the dropper insert or closure liner and for thermal expansion of the contents. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. Closures

The bottle has a neck with an 18/410 thread. Closures with the same neck finish and ready-made container and closure combinations are available from Handymade. With a custom combination, we recommend verifying tightness, dosing behaviour, and the container's performance with the specific formulation, particularly for essential oils and alcohol-based solutions, which place greater demands on the closure liner.

Useful information

• Before first filling, wash the bottle, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, and allow it to dry completely. Residual water would dilute an oil-based content or encourage microbial growth in water-based products.
• Reuse is possible; after washing and disinfecting, the bottle can be refilled. Glass does not absorb odours, but the closure and its liner do — replace the closure when changing the contents.
• Glass and heat – do not pour a hot phase into the bottle. Allow the product to cool; a sudden temperature change can crack the glass.
• Water-based products must be preserved in the same way as in any other container. Glass protects the contents from light, not from microbial contamination.
