Plastic bottle, transparent 20/410, 50 ml

Small PET bottle for filling your own cosmetic and food preparations in a volume of 50 ml. The transparent material shows the contents, making it suitable wherever the colour or consistency of the product should be visible – with tonics, facial and micellar waters, light serums, liquid soaps in travel size, or shampoo and shower gel samples. It is lightweight and break-resistant, making it suitable for travel packaging and test series as well.

The packaging is approved for direct contact with food, making it suitable for homemade oils, syrups, vinegar dressings, or herbal infusions as well. It also meets the requirements for use with cosmetic products; the declaration of conformity is available with the product.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the volume the bottle is designed for under normal filling conditions. Total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck and is higher. The difference provides clearance for the closure, dropper, or spray pump, which take up space once fitted, as well as clearance for expansion of the contents when temperature changes.

Closures with the same neck type (listed in the specifications) and ready-made bottle and closure combinations are available in the Handymade range. With a custom combination, we recommend verifying seal integrity and dispensing with the specific formulation, particularly for thicker or oil-based contents.

Good to know

Before filling for the first time, wash the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, and allow it to dry completely. After thorough washing it can be reused; when switching between different types of contents (for example from a fragrance oil to a tonic), bear in mind that the plastic may retain odours.

PET is suitable for aqueous, alcohol-based, and oil-based preparations at common cosmetic concentrations. With anhydrous products containing a high proportion of essential oils or with strong solvents, it is advisable to test material compatibility with the specific formula – prolonged contact may cause the plastic to become slightly dull or to soften.

The bottle is not intended for hot filling – PET deforms at elevated temperatures. Contents should therefore be filled only after cooling to room temperature. It is also not dishwasher-safe.

The smooth cylindrical shape makes label application straightforward; label dimensions are listed in the specifications. At the end of its service life, the bottle should be placed in separated plastic waste.
