A one-litre plastic bottle with a trigger sprayer is a ready-to-use set for thin liquids applied over larger surfaces. Suitable for household cleaners, fabric and air fresheners, salon hair sprays, and surface treatment products. The bottle and sprayer share the same neck, so there is no need to source a separate cap or check thread compatibility.

Clear plastic lets you see the colour of the contents and how much remains. With a one-litre pack in frequent use, that visibility is useful. The bottle is lightweight and will not shatter if dropped, making it practical for the bathroom, workshop, or professional setting. Both the bottle and the sprayer are declared suitable for contact with cosmetics.

How the set dispenses and seals

The sprayer is operated by a trigger that you press comfortably with your whole hand, even during repeated spraying over large areas. A single press delivers approximately 0.75 ml of liquid, so the applied amount can be estimated by counting strokes. The dip tube draws liquid from the bottom, so the bottle is held upright or at a slight angle during use.

When screwed on and tightened, the sprayer seals the bottle neck. Even so, we recommend keeping a filled bottle upright rather than on its side during transport and storage.

Suitable contents

The trigger sprayer is designed for thin liquids with a consistency close to water: aqueous solutions, water-alcohol blends, and diluted surfactant solutions. Typical applications:

• Household cleaning – glass and surface cleaners, bathroom and kitchen cleaning products, vinegar or citric acid solutions for limescale.
• Fabric and room – fabric fresheners, linen sprays, and interior sprays where a larger volume is applied at once.
• Hair care in larger format – detangling sprays, hair tonics, or hair-wetting sprays for cutting, where a one-litre bottle is practical in a salon.

Thick gels, oils, emulsions, and liquids with undissolved particles spray poorly. For products with a higher proportion of essential oils, fragrance compositions, or solvents, we recommend testing on a sample to check the compatibility of the plastic and sprayer with the contents.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the amount the bottle is intended to hold under normal filling. Total brim-full volume is the physical capacity up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference provides a buffer for the internal part of the sprayer with its dip tube, which displaces some volume when screwed in, and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. An overfilled bottle may overflow through the thread when the sprayer is attached, contaminating the label.

Good to know

• Preparation before first filling – wash the bottle, sanitise with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, and allow to dry completely. For the sprayer, a rinse with clean water or alcohol is sufficient.
• Fill temperature – fill the contents cooled to room temperature. The plastic cannot withstand hot filling or boiling and the bottle may deform.
• Labelling – the rounded body of the bottle provides space for a label; dimensions needed for label design are listed in the product parameters.
