Product description
Transparent round plastic bottle with black trigger sprayer, 100 ml
The ready-made set of a transparent round PET bottle with a capacity of 100 ml and a black trigger sprayer only needs to be filled and is ready to use. It is intended for thin liquid preparations applied to a larger area or in larger amounts at once – fabric and household sprays, small-pack cleaning products, detangling hair sprays or plant misting solutions.
The transparent plastic shows the contents and how much remains. PET is lightweight and, unlike glass, will not break, making the set suitable for home, workshop, travel and customer samples. The black sprayer with a smooth collar creates a strong contrast against the clear contents and pairs well with a single-colour or dark label. The set as a whole is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics; the declaration of conformity can be found with the product.
What the set is suitable for
- Fabric and household sprays – the trigger sprayer applies a sufficient amount of solution to curtains, upholstery or bed linen with a single press, without prolonged pumping.
- Cleaning products in small packaging – a vinegar cleaner, glass solution or kitchen surface cleaner in a volume that can be conveniently taken on the road or offered as a trial pack.
- Hair sprays – detangling sprays, hair tonics and rinses based on hydrolats, i.e. thin liquids applied over a larger area of hair.
- Plant misting and moistening – a small amount of water or nutrient solution for houseplants, moss or during floral arranging.
The choice is governed above all by the viscosity of the contents. The trigger mechanism is designed for thin, watery liquids. Thick solutions, gels, oils or preparations with undissolved particles spray poorly or clog the mechanism.
Trigger sprayer vs. fine-mist sprayer
The trigger sprayer is operated by pressing the lever with a finger and delivers a larger dose with each stroke, approximately 0.2 ml, as a coarser stream or wider cone. The fine-mist pump sprayer, pressed from above, produces a fine mist in smaller doses and is better suited to facial mists, face tonics and perfume waters. This set is therefore not the first choice for facial cosmetics. Its strength lies in preparations for fabric, surfaces, hair and plants, where quick surface coverage is desired.
Filling and volume
The nominal volume is the volume for which the container is intended under normal filling. The total brim-full volume is the physical volume of the bottle up to the neck and is larger. The difference between them provides a reserve for the dip tube and sprayer mechanism and for the expansion of the contents with changes in temperature. Fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim. An overfilled bottle will overflow when the sprayer is attached and the contents may leak around the thread when pressed.
If the sprayer dip tube extends beyond the bottom of the bottle, trim it with an angled cut before first use so that it ends just above the bottom. The angled end will not suction onto the bottom and the sprayer will draw up even the last few millilitres of contents.
After filling, tighten the sprayer firmly onto the neck and prime the tube and chamber with a few presses. The first strokes will be “dry” – this is normal behaviour for any new sprayer.
Good to know
- Transparent PET does not protect against light – preparations containing essential oils, plant extracts or dyes that are sensitive to light should be stored in the dark or in this packaging only for a short time. For long-term storage of light-sensitive contents we recommend brown or blue glass.
- Material and contents – a PET bottle tolerates aqueous solutions, hydrolats and commonly diluted alcoholic solutions. The packaging is not intended for concentrated essential oils, strong solvents or aggressive chemicals. If in doubt, test the behaviour of the material on a small sample.
- Preparation before first filling – rinse the bottle with warm water, optionally disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. Flush the sprayer by spraying clean water through it several times, then air, to leave no liquid in the chamber.
- Reuse – the set can be refilled after cleaning. When changing the contents, flush the sprayer thoroughly, as residues of the previous preparation may affect the scent and stability of the new one.
- Labelling – the bottle is round, so a wraparound label or a narrow front label is suitable.
- Recycling – the bottle is made of PET and the sprayer of PP. Before disposal, separate them and place each part in plastic recycling.
Filter preparations with undissolved particles, thicker extracts or sediment from herbal infusions before filling. Otherwise the mechanism and nozzle of the sprayer will clog and the lever will stop drawing up liquid.
The bottle also fits other closures with the same neck type from the Handymade range, as well as other ready-made packaging and closure combinations. With a custom combination we recommend verifying the seal, dosage and behaviour of the packaging with the specific formulation.
