Transparent Plastic Bucket with Lid, 2300 ml

Plastic bucket with lid 2300 ml is a complete set for situations where you need to fill, seal, and carry a larger quantity of material at once – a finished product, semi-finished material, or raw ingredient. Both the bucket and lid are made of polypropylene (PP), a lightweight and shatterproof plastic, and the transparent wall lets you see the contents and their level without opening.

The set is approved for direct contact with food and also declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products – for both components, the bucket and the lid. It is therefore useful in a cosmetics workshop as well as in the home. The declaration of conformity is included with the product; the packaging originates from the European Union.

What the bucket with lid is suitable for

• Finished products in larger packaging – body scrubs, bath salts and loose bath blends, body butters, and other materials sold or distributed in larger quantities.
• Semi-finished materials and intermediate stock – cream bases in progress, soap masses, or mask blends awaiting further processing or filling into smaller containers.
• Raw material storage – butters, waxes, clays, salts, dried herbs, or granulates that are drawn from gradually in the workshop and require a closed, easy-to-inspect container.
• Food and household use – honey, syrups, jams, fermented and pickled foods, flour, or legumes.
• Technical and auxiliary use – mixing, weighing, and transporting materials during production, or storing tools where the brittleness of glass would be a problem.

Why polypropylene and a transparent design

Polypropylene handles everyday handling, carrying, and repeated washing well. With larger volumes, it is safer to work with than glass, which is heavy and dangerous if dropped. The lid made from the same material completes the set, which is easy to clean and reuse once emptied.

The transparent wall allows you to check the condition, colour, and level of the contents without opening. However, transparent plastic does not protect the contents from light. Materials sensitive to light – oils and butters prone to oxidation, preparations with colourants or fragrance components – should therefore be stored in the filled bucket away from direct sunlight or in a dark cupboard.

Nominal and total volume – what is the difference

Nominal volume is the volume for which the container is designed under normal filling conditions. Total volume to the brim is the physical volume of the container up to its upper edge. The difference between them provides a margin for the lid and for any expansion of the contents – for example with materials that expand slightly with temperature changes, or with foods that are active. The bucket should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. Otherwise, the contents may overflow when the lid is placed on, or the lid may not seat correctly.

Working with the bucket and lid

Before the first use, wash and sanitise both the bucket and lid with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. The same procedure applies when reusing. Polypropylene cleans easily, but remove any residue of fatty materials or strong fragrances thoroughly so they do not transfer to the next batch.

The lid fits over the rim of the bucket and seals the container for normal storage and transport. Before filling a larger series, it is worth checking how the set seals with a specific formulation – particularly with thinner materials and for long-term storage. Concentrated essential oils, strong solvents, and highly aromatic substances may, with prolonged contact, leave an odour in the plastic or cause it to haze. For such contents, test the suitability of the container in advance with a small quantity.
