Transparent plastic jar with golden lid and sifter, 30 ml

Clear plastic jar with a gold lid and sieve, 30 ml is a complete set for loose cosmetic products – a clear jar, an inner sieve and a metallic gold screw-on lid. The sieve dispenses powder in small amounts directly onto a brush or into the palm, making it ideal for mineral make-up, setting and loose powders, bronzers, shimmer body powders or powdered dry shampoo in small packaging. The transparent wall shows the colour and amount of the contents; the gold lid gives the packaging a finished look without any additional decoration.

The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetics. It is not intended for food packaging.

How the set works

• Jar – a low, wide container made of clear plastic with a nominal volume of 30 ml. The wide opening is easy to fill with a spoon or powder funnel and equally easy to clean.
• Sieve – fits into the neck of the jar above the contents. When tapped, only a thin layer of powder falls through the openings; the rest stays below the sieve. The product does not spill and is dispensed economically. The sieve is a separate part that is removed when filling and reinserted only after the jar is full.
• Lid – screw-on, with a metallic gold finish. It seals both the jar and the space above the sieve, where a small amount of powder ready for use collects during normal use.

If you leave out the sieve, the jar with its lid also works as a standard jar for cream, balm or mask in a 30 ml size. Replacement lids and sieves with the same neck type are available in the Handymade range.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume is the amount the jar is intended to hold under normal filling. The total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck and is larger. The difference provides headroom for the sieve and lid and, for powders, also space for the contents to shift when tapped. The jar should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim – otherwise the sieve presses on the powder and becomes blocked when closed.

What is worth knowing when filling

Before first use, it is recommended to wash and disinfect the jar, sieve and lid with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow them to dry completely. Loose products do not tolerate residual moisture – lumps will form. All parts can be reused; after thorough washing and drying they can be used for a different shade or product.

The jar and lid are made of SAN/ABS plastic, which is hard, glossy and clear, but has lower chemical resistance than glass. For powders this is not an issue. With creams or balms containing a higher proportion of essential oils and with solvent-based contents, compatibility should be tested on a single piece first – the material may become dull or soft. Fill balms and masks only when cooled; the jar is not intended for hot filling.

The transparent wall of the jar serves as a surface for a label or lets the contents stand out on their own – coloured powders and glitters are visible in full. Once the jar has served its purpose, the parts are separated and disposed of with plastics; the jar and lid are SAN/ABS, the sieve is polypropylene.
