Product description

The plastic bottle for WC cleaner with a black cap is a complete set of packaging and closure for liquid household cleaning products with a nominal volume of 750 ml. The white bottle is made from HDPE, a lightweight and shatterproof plastic whose opaque wall blocks light and protects the contents. A transparent strip running the height of the bottle shows how much product remains. The black polypropylene cap screws onto the neck, so the complete set is ready for sale or household use once filled.

It is particularly suited for WC cleaners, cleaning gels and liquid sanitary products, but works equally well for universal cleaning products, bathroom preparations or eco-friendly home-made detergents. Both the bottle and cap are declared as suitable for contact with cosmetics, so the set can also serve as a larger container for liquid rinse-off products such as shower gel or shampoo.

Why choose this set

  • Bottle and closure in one – no need to search for a cap with the right neck; the bottle and cap are matched and you don't have to worry about the seal.
  • Fill level control – the transparent strip lets you monitor the level without opening, which is appreciated by both the end user and the manufacturer during filling.
  • Protection of contents from light – the white bottle wall blocks light, which helps with formulations containing dyes or fragrance components that degrade in light.
  • Durable material – HDPE is a chemically resistant plastic commonly used for cleaning products, and it won't shatter if dropped. This is a practical advantage for bathroom and toilet packaging.
  • Contrasting appearance – the black cap on the white bottle pairs well with both dark and coloured labels.

Filling and volume

With this bottle it is important to distinguish between nominal volume and the total capacity to the brim. Nominal volume is the quantity of fill for which the container is intended during normal filling, and this is the figure stated on the label. Total capacity to the brim is the physical volume of the bottle up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference between the two provides a reserve for the cap and for expansion of the contents when the temperature changes or when the bottle is shaken.

Fill the bottle to the nominal volume, not to the brim. Filling right up to the neck causes the product to be pushed out when closing; the bottle expands during warmer storage and thicker gels become harder to dispense.

Good to know

Before the first fill, rinse both the bottle and cap with clean water. For cosmetic fills, we recommend sanitising with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and thorough drying. Pour the fill into the bottle cooled to room temperature.

Compatibility with a specific formulation should be verified with a short test, particularly with higher concentrations of acids, chlorine-based components, solvents or essential oils. Monitor whether the wall deforms or discolours, whether any odour passes through the plastic, and whether the set remains sealed even when stored on its side.

HDPE is not intended for hot filling. Allow a heated fill to cool to room temperature before pouring; otherwise the bottle may soften and deform.

Reuse is possible. After emptying, wash the bottle and cap thoroughly and allow to dry. When changing the type of fill, repeat the rinse to avoid mixing residues of the previous product.

Labelling is straightforward on the flat section of the bottle. If you use the set to sell a cleaning product, the fill must be labelled in accordance with CLP Regulation, including hazard pictograms and, where applicable, a UFI code.

Recycling: the bottle is made from HDPE and the cap from polypropylene; both materials are among the commonly recycled plastics.

Frequently asked questions

Is the plastic WC cleaner bottle suitable for acidic cleaners?
Yes, the HDPE bottle is commonly used for both acidic and alkaline cleaning products, including WC cleaners based on citric acid or lactic acid. For more aggressive ingredients, higher acid concentrations or chlorine-based products, we recommend verifying compatibility with a test using the specific formulation and checking the seal and condition of the bottle after a few weeks.
How much fill fits in the 750 ml WC cleaner bottle?
The bottle is designed for 750 ml of fill, which is its nominal volume. Physically it holds slightly more, but that space serves as a reserve for the cap and for expansion of the contents. Filling to the brim is not recommended; the fill would be pushed out during closing and the bottle would expand during storage in warm conditions.
Can the WC cleaner bottle be reused?
Yes, the set can be used repeatedly. After emptying, wash the bottle and cap thoroughly; for a cosmetic fill, sanitise with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. When changing the type of fill, repeat the rinse so that residues of the previous product do not contaminate the new contents. Do not fill the bottle with hot liquid.
Can I use the set for cosmetics or food?
For cosmetics, yes — the bottle and cap are declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products, so they can be used for shower gel or shampoo as well. The set is not intended for food, and neither the bottle nor the cap has food-contact certification. For home-made syrups or oils, choose packaging with food-contact approval.
What is the transparent strip on the white bottle for?
The transparent strip allows you to monitor the fill level without opening the bottle. The white opaque wall protects the contents from light, while the strip shows how much product remains — useful both when filling and during regular use. With coloured fills the level is more visible; with clear fills we recommend leaving the strip free of any label.
