Yes, the packaging can be reused provided that strict hygiene rules are followed and compatibility with the specific type of filling is taken into account. Before each refilling, the bottle and closure must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcoholic preparation, for example IPA 99% – isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. After cleaning, we recommend allowing the packaging to dry completely in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination or disruption of formulation stability.

First remove any residues of the original product by rinsing with a suitable cleaning agent or warm water with a mild detergent (depending on the type of original filling). Then thoroughly rinse the bottle and closure with clean water so that no detergent residues remain. After mechanical cleaning, the packaging must be disinfected with an alcoholic solution – use either isopropyl alcohol or 96% denatured ethanol and allow the surfaces to air dry. Only after completely drying is the packaging ready for refilling.

If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend recycling it according to the material type indicated in the parameter table next to the product. First remove as much of the remaining contents as possible, rinse the packaging and remove any labels if required by local recycling rules. Then sort the bottle and closure into the appropriate container according to the material (for example plastic). By recycling you reduce the amount of waste and support the reprocessing of raw materials in accordance with applicable waste management regulations.

Plastic packaging of this type is not intended for long-term exposure to high temperatures. Exposure to hot water, direct heating or dishwasher cycles can lead to deformation, loss of dimensional stability and deterioration of the seal between the bottle and the closure. Boiling or sterilisation at high temperatures is likewise not recommended. For cleaning and disinfection, therefore, use lukewarm water, mild cleaning agents and alcoholic disinfectants that do not require thermal stress on the packaging.
