Product description
A white PET bottle with a white pump on a 24/410 screw neck is designed for liquid and semi-liquid products dispensed repeatedly without unscrewing. The white opaque plastic limits light exposure, making the bottle suitable for contents with sensitive ingredients, such as plant oils or fragrance compositions. The 100 ml volume is travel-sized, ideal for a trial series or products consumed within a few weeks.
The set is declared suitable for cosmetic use and is also approved for direct food contact. In addition to body lotions, liquid soaps or shampoos, it can therefore be used for home-made oils, syrups or liquid honey.
Suitable for
- Liquid soap and shampoo – the pump dispenses with one hand and the contents stay uncontaminated during use.
- Body lotion and light creams – medium-viscosity emulsions pass through the pump without difficulty; thick ointment creams are hard to dispense.
- Facial and massage oils – white plastic limits light exposure and each measured dose does not spill like from an open bottle.
- Cleaning and disinfecting gels – for contents with a higher alcohol content, we recommend testing material compatibility in advance.
- Food use – oils, syrups, dressings; the set holds food contact certification as a whole.
How the set works
The bottle and pump have the same neck type, so they fit together without additional seals. The pump's dip tube is longer than the bottle; trim it before fitting so it ends just above the bottom. The pump is then screwed onto the full bottle and the first few presses will prime the dispensing mechanism. Each subsequent press delivers approximately the same dose, making it easy to estimate consumption and follow the product's directions for use.
Before first filling, wash both the bottle and pump, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. Residual water in the dip tube could spoil anhydrous contents.
Nominal volume is the volume the bottle is intended for during normal filling. The total brim-full volume is the physical capacity up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference serves as a reserve for the pump dip tube and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes. Fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim, otherwise the contents will be forced out when the pump is screwed on.
Good to know
PET is lightweight and shatter-resistant, but is not intended for hot filling. Allow emulsions and gels to cool to room temperature before filling. Do not fill the bottle with aggressive solvents. For formulations with a high proportion of essential oils, we recommend leaving a sample to stand for several weeks to check whether the plastic softens or the scent of the contents changes.
The pump is designed for contents that can be poured or flow slowly. The thicker the product, the smaller the dose per press and the more easily the mechanism clogs. For thick creams, a jar or a bottle with a cap is more suitable.
When combining your own contents and packaging, always check for leaks with the bottle lying on its side and during temperature changes, for example when transporting in summer.
Both the bottle and pump can be reused after washing. Rinse the pump with warm water by pressing it several times in a container of clean water, then allow to dry. The PET bottle belongs in sorted plastic waste collection; the PP pump is unscrewed before disposal and sorted separately.
