The plastic bottle with disc-top closure represents a practical, hygienic and aesthetic solution for packaging various liquid preparations. FAQ – Most frequently asked questions

Is this plastic bottle suitable for more viscous products such as gels or emulsions?

The disc-top closure is designed to allow convenient dosing of liquid and slightly viscous products such as lighter gels, emulsions and body or face milks. For very viscous formulations (for example butter-like consistencies or highly viscous gels) we recommend first testing the flow and dosing on a small trial batch. Always check whether the product passes through the opening without excessive pressure and whether the closure closes properly after use.

Can I reuse this bottle for different products?

The packaging can be reused if basic hygiene rules are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the closure must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected to minimize the risk of microbial contamination and undesirable interaction of residues of the original product with the new filling. For disinfection we recommend using suitable alcohol solutions, for example IPA 99% – isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. After applying the alcohol, allow the packaging to dry thoroughly at room temperature and only then refill it.

How should I correctly clean the plastic packaging so that the material is not damaged?

To clean the plastic bottle we recommend using lukewarm water and a mild non-abrasive detergent. Avoid aggressive cleaning agents, strong solvents and very hot water, which could negatively affect the stability of the plastic or the shape of the closure. The packaging is not suitable for washing in a dishwasher or for boiling. After washing, rinse the bottle thoroughly with clean water and allow it to air-dry with the neck facing downwards on a clean absorbent surface. Before refilling, we recommend disinfection with an alcohol solution and complete drying.

Is the plastic material suitable for exposure to high temperatures or for heating the contents?

The plastic packaging is not intended for exposure to high temperatures or direct heating. In contact with liquid that is too hot or in the case of long-term exposure to heat, there is a risk of deformation of the bottle or closure, which may negatively affect the sealing and appearance of the packaging. Boiling or washing in a dishwasher is not recommended. Always fill liquid products only after partial cooling to an appropriate temperature that is safe for the given type of plastic, and store them away from direct sources of heat and direct sunlight.

How should I correctly recycle the packaging if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it responsibly according to the type of plastic stated in the product parameters for this item on the Handymade.sk website. Before placing it in separate collection, empty the packaging, rinse any product residues if necessary and separate the individual parts (bottle and closure) if they are made of different materials. Then dispose of them in the appropriate collection container according to local waste-sorting rules. By following these principles, you support efficient processing of plastic waste and its reuse.
