The amber plastic bottle with a capacity of 200 ml and a 24/410 neck finish serves as retail packaging for liquid cosmetics that need protection from light. Amber PET lets through less light than clear plastic, so it suits formulations with vegetable oils, extracts or essential oils, which lose stability faster in light. The 200 ml capacity suits shampoos, shower gels, toners, hydrosols, micellar waters, body lotions and massage oils. The plastic is lightweight and unbreakable, which you will appreciate for shower products, travel products or items shipped to customers. The pack of 250 is intended for production in larger batches, for workshops and for courses.
What the bottle is suitable for
- Rinse-off cosmetics – shampoos, shower gels, conditioners and liquid soaps. In the bathroom, packaging that survives a fall into the bath without shattering is valued.
- Toners and hydrosols – water-based formulations with extracts or essential oils, which the amber wall of the bottle protects from light.
- Body and massage oils – oils sensitive to oxidation, where darker packaging slows the effect of light. The 200 ml capacity corresponds to a common retail size.
- Body lotions and light emulsions – liquid and semi-liquid formulations that pass through the 24/410 neck without problems during filling and dispensing.
Nominal and total capacity
The figure of 200 ml is the nominal capacity, that is, the amount the bottle is designed for in normal filling. The total brimful capacity, given in the parameters, is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between the two provides a reserve for the closure, pump or sprayer and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Fill to the nominal capacity, not to the brim.
When filling a new formulation for the first time, measure out 200 ml of water and check where the liquid level comes to in the bottle. This gives you a reference point for the whole batch and helps you avoid overfilling, which would push the contents out once the closure is fitted.

Closures with the same neck finish fit the 24/410 neck. You will find them in the Handymade range, along with ready-made bottle and closure combinations. If you are putting together your own combination, we recommend checking the seal and the dispensing with your specific formulation.

Before the first filling, rinse the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leave it to dry completely. The same procedure applies when reusing it.
PET is filled with cold or cooled contents. Hot emulsions and soap bases are left to cool before filling, otherwise the wall may become deformed. The packaging should not be exposed to heat, direct sunlight or aggressive chemicals.
For formulations with a higher proportion of essential oils, concentrated alcohol or solvents, check how the bottle behaves beforehand. Fill one bottle, leave it to stand for several weeks and watch whether the wall softens, turns cloudy or the contents seep under the closure.
The material bears the recycling code PET 1. An empty, rinsed bottle belongs in the plastics recycling.
