Plastic pump dispenser, 24/410, black and gold, 180 mm

This is a pump dispenser with a dip tube that screws onto a bottle with a 24/410 neck and turns it into a practical pump. One press delivers a measured dose without opening the bottle and without hand contact with the product. It is particularly suited for liquid soaps, shampoos, conditioners, body lotions, light creams and gels — anything used repeatedly where only a small amount is needed each time.

Why choose a dispenser

• Hygienic dispensing – the contents are not scooped out with fingers or poured from the neck, which matters especially for water-based products where every hand contact raises preservation requirements.
• Measured dose – each press delivers roughly the same amount (approximately 1 ml), reducing product waste and letting the user know exactly how much to apply.
• Convenient one-handed use – in the bathroom, at the sink or in a workshop where the other hand is occupied.
• Universal 24/410 neck – one of the most common thread sizes for cosmetic bottles, from small volumes up to several hundred millilitres.

Which products is it suitable for

The dispenser works best with contents that flow but are not too thin. Liquid soaps, shampoos, shower gels, body and facial lotions, light emulsions, cleansing gels and massage oils all dispense reliably and without splashing.

With thick creams and butters, the dose may be incomplete or the mechanism may stick. For such consistencies a jar or airless packaging is more appropriate. Very thin, watery contents (tonics, hydrolats) can be dispensed through the pump, but may drip after each press. A spray bottle is more suitable for those.

With oils and products containing a higher proportion of essential oils or alcohol, we recommend checking the behaviour of the plastic parts and the seal over several weeks before filling a larger batch. Some ingredients can soften or swell plastics over time.

Useful things to know when using

Choosing a bottle. The dispenser fits any bottle with a 24/410 neck. Bottles with this neck type and ready-made packaging and closure combinations are available in the Handymade range. With your own combination, we recommend checking the seal and whether the dip tube reaches the bottom.

Dip tube length. The dip tube is sized for taller bottles; the exact length is listed in the specifications. If the bottle is shorter, the tube can simply be trimmed with a sharp knife or scissors so that it ends just above the bottom. A tube that is too long will bend at the bottom and the dispenser will draw in air; one that is too short will leave unusable product in the bottle.

First use. The pump head is empty before the first press; after screwing it on, you need to prime it several times until the dip tube fills. Before filling, we recommend rinsing the bottle and dispenser and optionally sanitising them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leaving them to dry completely so that no rinse water gets into the product.

Reuse. The dispenser can be used multiple times. When changing the contents, simply pump it through with warm water several times, leave it to dry and sanitise if needed. A dip tube with dried cream or soap residue is better replaced or thoroughly flushed, otherwise the dispenser will become blocked.

Transport. When shipping filled bottles, we recommend taping the pump head or replacing it with a plain cap for transit to prevent the contents from being accidentally dispensed.

Recycling. The dispenser is made from multiple materials (plastic and aluminium), so before disposal we recommend separating it from the bottle and, where possible, separating the metal part as well.
