Plastic cap 18/410 black with dropper insert is a practical closure for precise dosing of liquid formulations, ensuring controlled withdrawal of the contents from a bottle or vial. Thanks to the integrated dropper insert, it is suitable for packaging products where gentle, even and hygienic drop-by-drop dosing is important. The closure is designed for both professional and hobby use in cosmetics, aromatherapy and artisanal production.

Combining with closures and dispensers
The plastic cap with dropper insert is designed as a functional closure for appropriately selected bottles and vials with a matching neck finish. The bottles available in the Handymade range are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray heads or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – verify sealing performance, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation. To select a suitable bottle with a compatible neck finish, you can use the categories of glass and plastic packaging and filter by neck and closure type.

When planning to use the cap with a specific bottle, we recommend carefully checking the data in the product parameter table so that the thread, neck type and the shape of the dropper insert are in line with your formulation and the required dosing method.
FAQ – Frequently asked questions
To choose a suitable packaging or closure, use the advanced filter which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant category (for example bottles, closures, pumps). In the advanced filter you can combine several parameters at once – in particular neck finish, size, colour and material. In this way you will quickly display only those packs and caps that are most suitable for your formulation and intended use.
The cap with dropper insert can be reused as long as it is not mechanically damaged and basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, both the packaging and the cap need to be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using suitable disinfectants such as isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol. For disinfection you can for example use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. After thorough drying, the packaging can be refilled with a suitable formulation.
Before putting the cap into regular use, we recommend carrying out a small compatibility test. Fill the selected bottle with your formulation, close it with this cap and observe for several days the sealing, and the behaviour of the thread and dropper insert. Check whether there is any leakage, clogging of the dropper, changes in colour or odour of the material, and whether the drop-by-drop dosing meets your requirements. For more viscous or very thin liquid preparations, it is advisable to repeat the test under different storage temperature conditions.
The integrated dropper insert is ideal for products where you need dosing in drops or very small volumes – typically cosmetic serums, facial and hair oils, essential oils, perfume concentrates or highly concentrated active ingredients. It is also suitable for homemade tinctures and extracts for external use where you need to measure out the amount accurately during application. For very thick or, conversely, extremely thin formulations it is advisable first to check whether the flow rate is suitable for the intended use.
If you decide not to use the cap any further, we recommend first removing any product residues – ideally by wiping and, if appropriate, rinsing, depending on the nature of the formulation used. It is then advisable to follow the information on the material given in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website and place the packaging in the appropriate sorted waste stream according to local recycling rules. Proper sorting by material allows more efficient processing and reduces environmental impact. In case of doubt we recommend checking local recommendations for sorting packaging made of plastics and composite materials.
