A plastic bottle with a disc top cap is a ready-made combination of container and closure for liquid and semi-liquid cosmetic products: shower gels, shampoos, conditioners, body lotions and massage oils. The transparent PET wall shows the colour and texture of the contents and is lightweight, making it suitable for both the bathroom and travel. The rose-gold matte cap with a white centre gives the bottle a neat appearance without any additional decoration.

The set with a nominal volume of 250 ml is suitable for contact with cosmetics. Both the bottle and the cap share the same neck type, so there is no need to verify compatibility.

What products it is suitable for

The disc top works best with contents that flow freely but are not as thin as water. It dispenses shower gels, shampoos, liquid soaps, conditioners, body lotions and thinner emulsions well. It is also suitable for body and massage oils, where the opening in the disc prevents a large amount from spilling at once.

Very thick creams, butters and balms are difficult to push through the narrow opening and more residue remains in the bottle. A jar is more practical for these. Very thin liquids, such as tonics or hydrolats, on the other hand, flow out of the disc top quickly and are more conveniently applied with a spray pump.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the amount for which the bottle is intended under standard filling conditions. Total volume to the brim is the physical capacity up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference between them serves as a reserve for the cap and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. The bottle is therefore filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. With foaming products, the headspace also helps prevent the contents from overflowing through the thread after filling.

What to know when filling and using

Before the first fill, it is recommended to wash both the bottle and the cap, disinfect them and allow them to dry completely. Water residue inside the container increases the risk of microbial contamination, particularly in products with a weaker preservation system.

For products with a high proportion of essential oils, concentrated alcohol or solvents, it is advisable to perform a compatibility test with the container. Fill a sample, leave it to stand for several weeks and observe whether the bottle wall becomes cloudy, softens or whether the scent of the contents changes.

The smooth cylindrical wall is suitable for applying a label; the dimensions needed for label design are listed in the specifications. The label should be applied to a dry and degreased surface, ideally before filling or after thoroughly wiping the bottle.

Food contact certification applies to the bottle individually; the set as a whole is intended for cosmetics.
