A brown PET plastic bottle with a disc top cap is a ready-to-use combination for liquid and semi-liquid cosmetic products dispensed by squeezing the bottle: shower gels, shampoos, conditioners, body lotions, massage and body oils. The brown colouring of the plastic reduces light transmission, providing better protection for contents sensitive to sunlight, such as products containing vegetable oils, extracts or essential oils.

The cap in a rose-gold matte finish with a white centre gives the bottle a polished look. The combination with a capacity of 100 ml is therefore also suitable for smaller product runs intended for retail sale or as a gift.

How the combination works

The disc top cap opens by pressing one side of the white centre, which flips the dispensing opening on the opposite side. The contents are dispensed by gently squeezing the bottle. After use, the centre is pressed back and the opening closes. The cap does not unscrew during normal use, so it cannot be lost and the bottle can be operated with one hand.

• Dispensing in small amounts – the narrow opening releases the contents gradually, making it easy to measure out a dose with thicker products as well as with oils.
• Flexible wall – PET returns to its original shape after squeezing, which is a prerequisite for comfortable dispensing with this type of closure.
• Low weight and durability – the bottle will not shatter if dropped, making it practical for the shower, travel and postal shipping of products.

Suitable for products such as

The combination is intended for products that flow on their own or can be squeezed out easily:

• shower gels, shampoos and liquid soaps,
• conditioners and body lotions of thin to medium consistency,
• body, massage and cleansing oils,
• micellar waters and cleansing gels.

For very thin, water-based products intended to be applied in a fine layer, a spray is a more practical choice.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume is the amount for which the bottle is designed under normal filling conditions. The total volume to the brim is the physical capacity up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference between the two serves as a reserve for the closure and for expansion of the contents when temperature changes. Both values are listed in the product parameters.

Good to know

Both parts of the combination — the bottle and the cap — are declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products. The combination is intended for cosmetics; it is not approved for contact with food or beverages.

Before first use, it is recommended to wash both the bottle and the cap, disinfect them and allow them to dry completely. Residual moisture in the packaging can impair the microbiological stability of the product, and in the case of anhydrous oils it can also affect its appearance.

Products with a higher proportion of essential oils, solvents or alcohol may act on the plastic. With such a formulation, it is advisable to carry out a compatibility test in the finished packaging: leave the filled bottle to stand for several weeks and monitor the shape of the wall, the seal of the cap and the odour of the contents.

When labelling, account for the cylindrical surface of the bottle. The dimensions required for label design are listed in the product parameters. Apply the label to a dry and degreased surface, ideally before filling or after thoroughly wiping the bottle.
