Is it possible to use this plastic bottle repeatedly?

The packaging can be reused if basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the dispenser must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant‑based. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and undesirable changes to the product during repeated filling.

How should I properly care for the plastic packaging and dispenser so that they last as long as possible?

We recommend cleaning the bottle and dispenser with a mild, non‑aggressive cleaning agent and lukewarm water, without using abrasive sponges. Avoid exposure to high temperatures, long‑term contact with highly concentrated solvents, and strongly acidic or alkaline preparations, which may damage the material over time. After washing, allow all parts to dry thoroughly, ideally at room temperature in the air.

Is this plastic bottle suitable for storage at high temperatures or for sterilisation by boiling?

This type of plastic packaging is not intended to be exposed to high temperatures, to sterilisation by boiling or to washing in a dishwasher. Under the influence of high temperatures, the bottle walls may gradually deform or the dispenser may be damaged, which can affect its sealing and functionality. To ensure hygiene, we recommend gentle hand washing and subsequent disinfection with a suitable alcohol‑based preparation.

How can I dispose of or recycle this bottle and dispenser in an environmentally friendly way if I no longer want to use them?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste‑sorting rules and the information given in the product parameters for this packaging on the Handymade website.
