Plastic sprayer 24/410 turns tonics, hydrolats and facial mists into a fine mist that applies evenly and without running. It is a mechanical sprayer with a 24/410 thread, designed for thin cosmetic formulations applied by spraying rather than pouring – refreshers, water-based hair sprays or cleaning sprays for tools. The black body with a shiny silver band looks understated and complements clear, amber and frosted bottles with the same neck.

The sprayer comes with a dip tube that is trimmed to the height of the bottle before use. One closure type thus fits multiple bottle volumes with a 24/410 neck.

Material and quality

The plastic parts of the sprayer are primarily made of polypropylene (PP), the decorative band is aluminium. PP is lightweight, shatterproof and stable in common cosmetic formulations. The packaging is of cosmetic quality, suitable for use with cosmetic products, and a declaration of conformity is available with the product.

The sprayer is intended for cosmetic and technical formulations, not for food.

Suitable formulations

The mechanical sprayer works reliably with thin, watery contents: facial tonics, hydrolats, floral mists, refreshing body sprays, water-based hair sprays, spray deodorants on a water-alcohol base or cleaning sprays for brushes and tools. It is also suitable for alcohol-based formulations, such as disinfectant sprays with ethanol or isopropanol.

It is less suitable for thick and viscous contents. Oil serums, body oils and formulations with a thickener will be sprayed poorly – the stream tends to be uneven or comes out as drops instead of mist. For oils, a pump or dropper is a better choice.

Good to know

• Dip tube and bottle height – for shorter bottles the tube is trimmed; for taller ones, check that it reaches the bottom.
• Headspace in the bottle – fill the bottle to its nominal volume, not to the brim. When screwed on, the sprayer occupies part of the neck space and needs room so the contents do not overflow when closing.
• Particles and turbidity – formulations with sediment, plant particles or undissolved ingredients may clog the nozzle. We recommend filtering such hydrolats and tonics before filling.
• Essential oils and solvents – PP tolerates standard concentrations of essential oils in tonics and sprays. At higher concentrations, fragrance compositions or aggressive solvents, we recommend testing the seal and mechanism condition after a few days.
• Air intake – the mechanical sprayer draws air into the bottle after each press. The formulation therefore requires standard preservation, just as in any other non-airless container.
• Reuse – the sprayer can be disassembled, rinsed with warm water and used again. When changing the formulation, rinse it thoroughly so that residues of fragrances or dyes do not mix.
• Recycling – plastic parts go into plastic recycling; the aluminium band should be separated before disposal if the construction allows.
