Product description
Plastic sprayer with a 24/410 thread closes the bottle while dispensing its contents as a fine mist. The white polypropylene body is complemented by a shiny gold aluminium ring that covers the thread and gives a bottle of toner, hydrolat or hair spray a uniform look. Each press releases the same dose of approximately 0.12 ml, so the contents are applied evenly and without spillage. It is designed for watery and thin liquids where a pump dose would be unnecessarily large.
The packaging is suitable for use with cosmetic products; the declaration of conformity can be found with the product.
What it is suitable for
- Facial tonics and hydrolats – thin aqueous solutions pass through the nozzle without resistance and spread into a thin layer on the skin.
- Hair sprays and body mists – spraying covers a larger area than applying by hand and consumption is lower.
- Room and textile sprays – aqueous sprays with dissolved fragrance, air fresheners, herbal infusions for fabric.
- Working solutions in the workshop – water for moistening, ethanol or isopropanol for cleaning tools, moulds and work surfaces. We recommend verifying the cap's behaviour with prolonged contact with alcohol.
How to use the sprayer
The sprayer is screwed onto a bottle with a 24/410 neck. Before fitting, check the length of the dip tube: it should reach just to the bottom so that the contents can be dispensed to the very end. For shorter bottles, cut it with a sharp knife and trim the end at a slight angle to prevent it from suctioning to the bottom. After screwing on, press the head a few times until the tube fills and the mist begins to come out evenly.
Fill the bottle to the shoulders, not to the neck. The dip tube with the mechanism takes up part of the volume and when tightening the cap, overfilled contents would be pushed out through the thread.
Bottles with this type of neck as well as ready-made bottle and sprayer combinations are available in the Handymade range. For a custom combination, we recommend verifying the seal and cap behaviour with the specific formulation.
Good to know
Thin, aqueous liquids are suitable. The nozzle will not atomise oils, emulsions or thickened serums — they come out in a stream or drops and the mechanism quickly clogs. The same applies to solutions with undissolved particles, such as residue from imperfectly dissolved powder or plant fragments in an infusion. Filter such contents before filling.
Dissolve essential oils and fragrance compositions in sprays with a solubiliser first. Undissolved oil floats on the surface, is dispensed unevenly and acts on the plastic parts of the mechanism over time.
Before first use, flush the sprayer with clean water or ethanol and leave it to dry. Once the bottle is empty, the sprayer can be used again. Flush it with water until a clean mist comes out, otherwise residues of the old contents will mix with the new.
