Frosted Glass Bottle, Shiny Silver Push Dropper, 30 ml

The frosted glass bottle with a push dropper is a set for drop-by-drop dispensing, intended for facial serums, oil blends and other products of which only a small amount is used at a time. The bottle has a nominal volume of 30 ml, a wider body and a lower profile, so it stands more stably on a shelf or in the bathroom than narrow bottles of the same volume. The matte frosted glass softens incoming light while the contents remain visible. The glossy silver dropper complements the matte glass, so the finished product needs no further finishing.

Unlike a classic dropper with a rubber bulb, the push dropper is operated by a button on top of the head. The product is drawn in by pressing the button with the tube submerged and dispensed by pressing it again, so it is easy to use with one hand. The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products and is intended specifically for them.

What it is good for

• Facial serums – water-based and oil-based serums with active ingredients, where only a few drops are applied and precise dispensing saves the contents.
• Face and hair oils – blends of vegetable oils applied drop by drop into the palm or directly onto the hair ends.
• Oil blends with essential oils – diluted aromatherapy blends for massage or for pulse points.
• Cuticle and beard oil – small volumes that are used up before they have time to age.
• Samples and test batches – a volume of 30 ml is enough to try out a formulation with customers without filling larger packaging.

Volume and filling

The nominal volume is the amount the bottle is designed for under normal filling. The brimful capacity given in the parameters is larger, because it also includes the space in the neck. This difference provides a reserve for the submerged tube of the dropper and for the slight expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Therefore, fill up to the nominal volume, not to the brim. An overfilled bottle will overflow when the dropper is screwed on.

Good to know

Before the first filling, wash the bottle and the dropper, disinfect them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let them dry completely. Moisture left in the tube would get into an oil-based product and could shorten its shelf life. After thorough washing, the packaging can be reused. When changing the contents, we recommend replacing the dropper, because residues of the previous product are difficult to remove from the tube and the head.

Glass does not tolerate sudden changes in temperature. Do not pour the hot phase directly into a cold bottle; let it cool to room temperature first. With concentrated essential oils, alcohol solutions or other solvents, check the behaviour of the button and the dropper seal with your specific formulation, as the head also contains plastic parts. With thicker products, such as gel serums, check whether the tube draws in the contents at all.
