Yes, the small glass bottle can be used repeatedly in home and small‑scale artisan production, provided it is not mechanically damaged and you follow basic hygiene principles. Before each refill, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and subsequently disinfected with a suitable alcohol‑based product, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant‑based. Only after it has completely dried is the bottle ready for further use.
First, we recommend rinsing the bottle with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent to remove residues of the previous contents. Then rinse it thoroughly with clean water, allow it to drain and dry completely. After drying, disinfect the interior with alcohol, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant‑based, and again allow it to air out. Only then is the packaging ready for a new filling.
If you decide not to reuse the glass pharmacy bottle, we recommend that after emptying it you remove any remaining contents and rinse it appropriately according to the type of product. Then separate any plastic or metal closures and place them in the appropriate collection containers according to local waste‑sorting rules. In this way you ensure that the packaging is handled in an environmentally considerate manner even after the end of its service life.
