Product description
Dispenser, nasal spray, white, 18/410
Mechanical dispenser with nasal applicator for 18/410 thread turns a thin aqueous solution into a fine mist and releases the same small dose with each press. The contents are never touched by fingers or poured out — they are dispensed in precise small doses exactly where needed.
The dispenser is designed for thin aqueous solutions applied into the nose or onto small, hard-to-reach areas: saline and mineral solutions, hydrolats, aqueous extracts, or toning sprays with low viscosity. It screws onto the bottle like a regular cap — no tools required.
Key features
- Consistent dose with every press – the pump releases approximately 0.12 ml of solution, enabling precise dosing without measuring and without wasting the contents.
- Fine mist instead of a stream – the narrow nozzle disperses the aqueous solution into tiny droplets that cover the mucosa or skin evenly and without running.
- Hygienic use – the contents exit only through the nozzle and fingers never enter the bottle, which slows down contamination of the solution.
- Transparent protective cap – protects the nozzle from dust and accidental pressing in a bag or on a shelf.
- PE material – lightweight, shatterproof, impact-resistant, and suitable for aqueous solutions including saline.
How the dispenser works and how to fill it
The dispenser operates on a mechanical pump principle: pressing the head draws the solution up through the dip tube from the bottle into a small chamber, which is then expelled through the nozzle as a mist. When released, the chamber refills. It requires no propellant, so it does not affect the formulation in any way and works in any position as long as the dip tube reaches the solution.
Before first use, a new dispenser must be primed: after screwing it onto the bottle, press the head several times with no output until the dip tube and chamber fill with solution and a consistent mist begins to emerge. Do not count the first few presses as a dose.
Fill the bottle only to its nominal volume, not to the brim. The pump and dip tube take up space in the neck and inside the bottle, and if completely full, the solution will overflow when screwing on the dispenser.
The dip tube has a fixed length stated in the product specifications. If it is longer than the internal height of the bottle, trim it with a sharp knife or scissors to a clean, straight cut so it ends just above the bottom. A dip tube that bends against the bottom draws poorly and the dispenser may skip.
Choosing a bottle and suitable contents
The dispenser fits bottles with an 18/410 neck: the number 18 indicates the neck diameter in millimetres and 410 the thread type. Bottles with the same neck type as well as ready-made bottle and dispenser combinations are available in the Handymade range. For custom combinations, we recommend verifying the seal, the dip tube length inside the bottle, and how the dispenser behaves with the specific solution.
It works best with low-viscosity aqueous solutions: saline, hydrolat, aqueous extract, or a light toner. It handles solutions with dissolved salts well; after use, wipe the nozzle and replace the cap.
The dispenser is not intended for oils, thick serums, or solutions containing undissolved particles. Viscous contents will not form a mist, will clog the nozzle, and may damage the pump. For solutions with a higher proportion of alcohol or essential oils, first test with a small amount to verify that the dispenser's material and seals do not alter the properties of the contents.
Good to know
- Preparation before first filling – rinse a new dispenser with warm water, or prime it with clean alcohol or isopropyl alcohol (IPA) and allow it to dry completely. Residual water in the dip tube would dilute the first doses.
- Preserving the contents – an aqueous solution without a preservative is susceptible to microbial growth even with hygienic dispensing. The pump reduces contact between the contents and the environment, but does not replace a preservation system. For unpreserved solutions, prepare smaller quantities and use them promptly.
- Reuse – after thorough rinsing with clean water (pump until only clean water comes out) and drying, the dispenser can be used again. When changing formulations, clean it completely so the solutions do not mix.
- Clogged nozzle – if the mist weakens or becomes uneven, it usually suffices to soak the head in warm water and pump several times. Sharp objects do not belong in the nozzle — they would widen the opening and alter the mist pattern.
- Suitability for cosmetics – the packaging material is suitable for use with cosmetic products; a declaration of conformity is available with the product.
- Recycling – once emptied and rinsed, the dispenser belongs in plastic waste.
